Deploying camp suddenly became instantaneous and used up 0 resources

As of last night, my tier 2 camp deploys completely and does not use up 5 wood and a flint.

This may be related to my earlier bug report: Missing Tier 2 Camp Unlock Reward from completion of Monarch's Bluff Quests - #5 by Comus

  • Is this a bug? Yes, this is a bug.

  • (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: Deploying a camp doesn’t use up wood and flint and is instantaneous… while I’m missing the rank 3 camp tier upgrade, this seems a bit overpowered.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No.

  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:

Started New World.
Went out of town to deploy a camp while having 5 wood and 1 flint in inventory.
Camp sets up without requesting resources to build.
Inventory still has the 5 wood and flint after deploying camp.

  • When did this happen? Around 10:00 pm, October 24, 2022, UTC+8 (Philippine timezone)

This is not a bug. Your faction must have claimed the Brightwood fort which gives you resourceless camping.

Your faction might just have the fort buff for instant camps.

OH! This is so trippy.

On my server, the starter areas are controlled by Syndicate, which I recently became a part of.

I’m a returnee so I never knew fort captures had buffs as well.

They always had some buffs, but in I believe the May patch they actually improved them. Stuff like Resourceless Camping, free fast travel, global tax reduction, etc. Most of them are pretty good! :slight_smile:

I dunno if I should take this down or leave this up now. I thought it was related to my Camp tier issue, so I was concerned.
