he is chain spawning the dogs, sure its now 2 dogs but these dogs have innate knock back, and once slain they spawn again
it should be Tied to Arch HP %'s so every 10 % life he spawns a set of dogs.
and having the group split into 3 teams is ok for mechanic, but the mines have to much HP for 1 person to handle alone. but not putting more DPS on the adds on top extends the fight to 3-4 mines spawning… its a race against time but even with fully PVE tweeked max gear you cannot dps fast enough
normally what our runners have been doing is during the 2nd phase we’ve been sending 2 dps to 1 side and the tank healer and other dps to the other side and just clearing that as fast as possible and taking a bomb hit or 2 also if you’re watching him slam his staff down to explode the bombs that explosion can be IFramed
yeah i agree it can be Iframed, but the fact that you dont have eyes in the back of your head to time it better… no indication when your focused on the other mobs who you have to dodge/block there Chest CT attack or get 1 shot from that also
Send your highest dps and the tank on first channel. Remaining players need to focus on mines not dogd. Then same thing on second channel but eveyone goes the other channel at same time. If your dying from mine explosions your dps is too low, fix it.
i mean ideally the process is you’re gonna take a couple single bomb hits when he starts adding that 2nd and 3rd on you’ll be able to have both sides cleared youll have your healer there to heal your side we’ve tried a couple different splits and it just gets rough if you cant clear the sides before the extra mines start showing up only problem i have with that dungeon is time that time limit is so extreme if you were to have to check every box in that mutator theres no way you’ll be able to conisistently clear it sub 30
im not really asking for advise. we have tried this tactic and others listed…
the fight is to over tuned. PERIOD. and should be nerfed quit a bit… aswell as the Timer for the whole dungeon be extended by a minimum of 5 minutes if not 10
the group i was with i posted that screen grab of our 12 attempts to clear that boss is also a group i often gold any other M10 mut with almost zero effort
this boss has always been a unbalanced nightmare, and now that its been mutilated its extreme
i agree, more time is needed, or more of a clear “mechanic dance of the party” to be understandable how to win this fight… IE the idea of ONLY spawning dogs every 10 % of life so you can time the wave of dogs better / mine group split part of the fight… instead of letting him spawn unlimited dogs…
or even just have him have 100 % invul, just let him chain cast spells. but every time a dog dies he looses 5 % life pool… so after 20 dogs die you win ??? … some kinda of change like this… not just KILL FASTER or you loose
Sorry its not easy but it certainley doesnt need a nerf.
Everyone needs 5 wards and mutation gems.
If your getting instant spawn dogs your dps is bad. Theres enough time to taunt every spawn so if the dogs are alive that long either your group comp needs a change or your dps need to review their specs.
if they focus dogs, we kill the dogs, next wave instant respawns, if we AOE dogs on boss is only method to win for us… and even then its sketchy at best…
what weapons does your dps use ??
like i said before this group is a solid M10 clear’n group, and we CANNOT win in this fight… im not the ONLY one who has made posts about this. this fight is overturned for sure
Dogs need to be taunted each spawn. Someone needs a ga to grav well them. Then aoe them on the boss. Thats the correct way to habdle them. Tank needs to tank them on the boss. If you having trouble keeping people alive doing that what abilities are your healer running?
My group struggled too it wasnt easy peaxy theres key things you must do to beat that fight.
i can get onboard with that his dog spawns are basically like perform an attach check for adds no adds, add dogs do an attack and repeat process like its more beneficial to just leave em low health and just timely clear them when needed but this on specifically in its entirety has always been a challenge and im pretty sure the dogs slightly empower the boss to being up
I get that someone wants more challenge, but this is clearly overtuned. I’ve run 21 muts this week and the only 2 golds were M8s. Rest M9 and M10 - unsuccessful. It clearly needs fixes. Maybe adding some dogs’ respawn time instead of instaspawn. Maybe reducing bombs’ hp to make them in line with other bombs that are spawned in the dungeon. Say, 2k hp so 1 DPS must stay mid and clear bombs while others clear sides. Or nerfing his & bombs damage. I don’t remember now how it was with easier mutation, but this (and previous depths rotation) it’s just wrong.
And yes, tune your randomizer so each expedition doesn’t receive the same mutation next rotation. It’s not funny at all to have 2 “no-dodge” mutation for depths in a row.
