Design pass on itemization in new world

hey guys i wanted to take some time to address an issue that i think can revolutionize new world and the industry and also at the same time massively increase the income of new world in a positive way while at the same time creating a lasting change to the game that is enjoyable, rewarding and extremely balanced.

This will come in stages however, or in a single patch collectively together.The changes are

  • Reducing armor to 1 perk maximum.
  • shifting the quality of the gear to impact the value of that perk. Perks will now have a range based on quality.
  • future cosmetics added to the game will be done individually AND in sets on the itemshop, meaning you can buy just a chest piece, or the entire cosmetic set in a bundle.
  • Introduction of an improved transmog system to help mixing and matching and seeing the results of colors before dyes are used and so on.
  • Introduction of a system that enables a player to change perks on each piece of gear for a currency (azoth?)
  • A revamped purpose for pve and pvp content via this new resource (or azoth) in which a player does these activities to gain that currency to both change perks or cosmetics through each system.

Some key points are

  • The changing of perks or cosmetic aesthetics (colors etc) are unlimited. For example you can change the perk on your gear as much as you want. This will enable people to change builds and experiment allowing the current perks in the game to retain value.

  • values of the perks based on gear quality should not exceed 12% output.
