Desync is worse when using some weapons?

Desync gets worse the lazier this dev team operates. Don’t blame the poor weapons, they’re not at fault at all.

Is it desync? Or was it a calculated miss?

I had horrid desync yesterday on bow. Like even my basic shots were failing every now and then in a dungeon.

Id say there is more bugs than ever right now, especially in combat. Roll back the game. I want control of my character again.

On thigh I noticed with the spear is abilities not going off properly. For example I’ll cast perforate and the ability appears to hit, even plays the sound but no damage, then it won’t go on cooldown if I cast it a 2nd time it will do damage.

Also skewer cases rubber banding when this happens.

Possibly, IMO yes but only minor differences between weapons. To me how much AOE is being spammed has the highest direct affect on desynch.

Same here, but with SnS: there’s the skill animation, even the sound of damage but no damage at all

riposte rapier is broken most of the time. it’s glitching and stuck in the animation stuttering 100x

SnS + WH here, the desync is so bad that my CC are not registering and players blink out of range. Moreover, I also have input delay, since weapon swapping, blocking and using potions/consumables registers 0.5-1 sec after use. I have 1Gb/s connection and a high end PC and yet this happens almost in any OPR or just open world PvP.

I can not understand why is OPR 20vs20 since the engine or the networking can not support it. Why not make it 10vs10? Same goes for Wars! Start small and then build up… this is like problem solving 1:1 right there.

They tried lowering the player count of wars on the ptr. Too many people complained before it could even be tested so the devs back tracked.
Yet another example of the devs having no spine Im afraid.

Thats just what it is like to play melee. Desyncs very often.

40v40 was an idiotic idea. It was wise of them not to do it.

As usual the small but vocal minority gets its way. Maybe that is why there are only 30k ppl left playing the game.

I agree it’s not ideal, but neither is allowing the wars to remain lagfests. Don’t even know if it would work, was never tested.

Tbh it was all the bottom rung of players worrying that they might not get picked for a war. Well they can still get picked, it’s just a bad experience.

with fire staff i get rubber band all over the place and with rapier, i sometimes use fleche and get sling shot to the other corner of the map wile with fire staff burnout i use it and stay rooted in place.

much fun!

fewer players doesnt fix this desync issue.
40v40 war would have the same lag

That wasn’t a fix man, that was a band aid over an open wound that got saltier with the proposal.

30k? That was last month.
Currently 20k. But at least we lost only 30% of the players in one month, not 50% so this is a victory.

I do not know the details but regardless of what happened the desync problem persists. It is like this from day one and melee classes suffer from it the most.
