Dev Video Coming Soon? What are you looking forward to hear about the most?

Can you find the video? Wanna see that

New World: Dev Update - December 2021 - YouTube 1:05:23 - 1:05:53

You’re absolutely right. When they inevitably loosen the lengthy fort locking, the main course ought to still be good PvP content though at 1-2 hour intervals that can lock in those bonuses for a reasonable, yet relatively brief duration. And if the bonus is not entirely worthwhile for you, the consolation prize for your participation ought to be expertise bumps or 590+ loot. No one wants to waste the time they could be using to progress not progressing, thus offer that alternative avenue for growth through non-instanced PvP as was promised last year.

I highlighted RS and BW bonuses as being woefully insufficient for everyone involved while the 5% bonuses to PvP Track Exp, 10% Refining Yields, etc. make a difference on a macro scale yet do very little for the individual player. These bonuses ought to be increased so that you can tangibly feel the spoils of your efforts come into fruition. I have suggested that they make the bonuses irresistible before like by having the Mourningdale buff guarantee 600 - 600 GS crafts for example. War Loggers will be War Loggers, but offer the average player more opportunities for PvP that are not instanced base. The mode by which “capturing” the fort also should not be limited to planting your tuchus on the point for x minutes, instead there ought to be a last man standing objective, a TDM first to X kills victory criteria, and a King of the Hill timed mode. Need to get people out into the Open World once again.

Fix territory war alt companies and selling territories.

Do a fixed territory war time as all MMO. It was nice the idea of trying something different, but different hour territory wars only open a lot of doors to exploits, abuses and locking majority outside of event.

I have no idea what they will be talking about. I know they have that new zone in the works so might be about that.

I just wish they would mention something about at least having 1 raid so far and maybe a new type of pvp like ctf or something. Maybe even cross server/region OPR.

I’ll have to look, in terms of the dev video it’s pretty early on they reference stances but really do but describe much more beyond that. It was around when void blade was being released and they described the BB, greatsword, and then dagger as a much more distant weapon.

As got the Varangian Knight video I’ll have to find it. Someone on the forums posted it. I saw a slam and charge attack that will likely be abilities that players can use based on how they use other attacks.

Lol they’re not adding anything like that any time soon :joy::joy::joy: crafting rng is perfectly fine now. I crafted 10 earrings the other day and i got 2 bis ones. Crafted 15 amulets and got 1 bis (1 other sold for 100k). Crafted about 100 gloves and got a bis one (i also crafted 5 that each sold for 20k, i just wanted a different perk combo) and so on. Stop crying. Notice how the market has gotten FLOODED with bis items that arent nowhere near as expensive as before :joy:

I am hoping for more alternative activities. Not more Dungeons/maps etc. Different gameplay activities that one can decide to follow, like:

-Company Housing, upgrading your company house, collecting money and ressources to expand and upgrade it, participate in company vs. company fights

-Farming, being able to cultivate one of those many abandoned farms, mills or logging huts etc… producing high quality goods to sell them, unique recipes

-Far in the future: Ability to own a ship, upgrade it, install cannons, travel the sea with your crew and a smaller island you can sail to, naval combat, company fleet

-Improved building, more flexibility to build smaller structures in the wild, fight around them, company camps etc…

Things to make the world feel more in-depth. Not more of the same things, new things! And more meaning to smaller companies

This is the dumbest thing I’ve read yet… Pvp is huge in nw.

I don’t think you understand what bis really means. Crafting is still garbage af and a waste of time for most of us. This week alone I’ve spent week over 300k and have fuck all to show for it. The ward perks are still in the pool to frequently and rolling a chest with resil that doesn’t have that garbage sturdy energy is impossible.

Why the hell is sturdy energy the most common perk to roll??? No one wants it!

You just answered your own question!

That’s why AGS made it that way, refreshing ward/indestructible/luck 2.0.

They can keep it. Fk this game I’m done.

I’m willing to bet money that less than 10% of the current New World player base interacts with the PvP. My server CoS is a two-faction server. Which means in most cases due to how proxies work. Only around 100 players on average get to do Wars. And we already have issues with 3v3 taking 30+ minutes for a queue to fill. And only enough interest in OPR to fill one match at a time. Now think about that for a few minutes.

I’m also willing to bet that 99.9% of the PvPers, that get baited into New World. Stop playing after they see the PvE grind ahead to be PvP viable. A PvPer can grind PvE for hundreds of hours here. Or they can just turn on a PvP MMO or eSport title and be a factor in PvP in quick order.(Less than 30 hours of PvE grind.)

I want true endgame! Fashion! Give us skin transfers, let us dye skins, and FFS black dye!!!

As much as a rock-slapping carebear as I am, PvP needs the overhaul most

  • Territory wars are off limits to most players
  • OPR is an arcade joke, which is fine but not your pinnacle of end game
  • I won’t go near Arenas without a premade
  • OWPVP is non-existent besides maybe gankers idk, I farm all day and never see it.

About 10 minutes ago i crafted 2 mortal emp rings and got 1 bis, also crafted 12 earrings for fun and got 3 bis ones :joy::joy::joy: but yea crafting is so rng right? Because there are a few unwanted perks in the perk pool. Lets ignore the fact they have like a 0.5% chance though :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Im probably just gonna upload the video of me crafting the earrings so u can see for yourself how easy it is to craft bis items

I read this as “I got good luck and since I did you must too or you’re a liar” you look stupid spamming emotes. Stop it.

you’re rolling rings. I’m complaining about armor the two are not the same.

Bro its EVERY time i craft :joy: i cant be this lucky right? I also crafted 30 shoes today and didnt get what i specifically wanted but i got 3 bis boots that will sell for 50k each :joy::joy::joy: either i am the luckiest person alive or youre wrong and crafting really is this easy (its the second option)

I would agree because of the stupid systems that made them quit. But that isn’t an excuse to let these bad systems remain in the game is it?

New world was designed from the ground up to be pvp centric. By trying to change that with no content to replace what should have been player driven they’ve made a game no one gives af about. Every expedition is a clone of the one before it. They have introduced exactly 0 new mob types to the game still. even the new dungeon is nothing but reused assets lol.
