^ This. I patiently put up with all bugs and negativity up to this point but this one is the dagger for me. The build that I’ve spent 160+ hours working on suddenly just…doesn’t work? Now I just need to decide if I go back to GW2 or try out SWTOR or ESO instead.
Karen wants: Servers Rollback, Money Back, Sue AGS and a letter of apology.
But why Karen?

oke armchair mod
I get it…this exploit is serious and the potential effects are huge. I’ve stopped playing for now because I don’t even know what the future holds at this point. I’ll reevaluate tomorrow.
That said, please stop hating on the devs. As a software engineer myself (for a different company), I can tell you that it is rarely a dev’s decision to ship a product that is defective. Yeah…maybe they introduced the bug - because nobody is perfect - but the ones who manage the project and set the schedule are the higher-ups.
So if you want to blame/hate on someone, blame the dev’s bosses…all the way up to Bezos. They are the ones who set the timelines and determine the product’s readiness. They are also responsible for hiring QA staff that won’t let bugs out the door. The devs have very little say in the matter. I’m sure they are doing their best to resolve issues at this moment and experiencing a lot of pain from each major bug.
Hey @Kay just want to say thanks for these updates.
I was checking the dev tracker because of all the screaming and yelling in global, reddit and here. It’s good to hear from you and gives a bit of confidence that you are working on things.
Also, I hope the ban hammer hits really hard.
I know you didn’t, there are just so many here who are and it’s really disheartening. It was more an open comment I guess. Tough love is fine, this entire thread flaming Kay… IMHO… should be deleted. It’s wrong, misleading, and shaming someone publicly.
I wish I knew where @GoodLA worked because I’d work overtime tomorrow to shame him.
I’m sorry Kay but i have to ask, why was there no actions taken sooner?
why is outpost rush still enabled while gamebreaking damage bugs are around and gamebreaking food in outpost rush that gives such a high advantage?
why has territory wars not been temporarily disabled while these game breaking bugs have come around? do you guys really not care about your player base?
the covenant company on my server have pushed a war and all using the hatchet bug to easily kill people.
alot of people are starting to leave the game because of how many bugs are happening now, and why rollbacks aren’t happening when crazy bugs like the duplicate items/gold bugs are ruining complete servers economy’s ?
is a server wipe on the agenda? we need more involvement from CM’s and keeping the community up to date publicly, because currently this feels like a cash cow game
get everyone into the game for quick money to fund another game in the works, the game has so many bugs
Gearscore drop buggs for over 591 gear for example no one can roll higher
legendary items not dropping
slowness from server responses during wars causeing massive delays and lag due to a poor netcode or bottleneck on your server side
we need proper answers and communication otherwise this game is going to die, alot of people are already ready to stop playing this game due to the lack of involvment from the Devs/community managers, if you need help or ideas please let me know and ill be happy to help, but their needs to be a faster way gamebreaking bugs are dealt with instead of 1 week later and SO much damage has been done because of this, i reported the hatchet bug myself the same day as the patch with video evidence and only got a reply sunday. this should be escalated immediately to the dev team and they disable that perk quickly while investigated same as how the trading post and all trading was disabled so easily
and we need reassurance of the banning that is going to take place, are you scared you will lose playerbase and so its only a tempoary suspension for using a gamebreaking exploit and bug? if you are not serious about banning people for violating T&C then no one will take you seriously, if people cheat or bug abuse or exploit it should be a permanent ban, they can pay for the game again and not cheat/bug abuse/ exploit next time and learn from their mistake.
actions should have consequences
just use some common sense
How long is this ban for? This is the same image that those who got banned for farming the Reekwater boss early on had. And those “bans” were merely suspsensions of 24-72 hours.
i m considering taking legal action against AGS
for wasting my 200h time
I’m considering legal action against you for wasting my time reading this dumb comment
Hopefully fresh servers.
is using the hatchet right now a banable because its broke Key?
you both post almost the same legal action post at the exact same time. now that is funny and strange.
While I am glad that your confidence level has a very low bar to clear, not everyone who is invested in New World living up to the potential it has, is looking for a fast refund.
As much as you would like to shill on the forums, there is little reason for you to continue to praise the state of the game as it sits today.
Mine was directed at mollyyy…
oh i see. i thought it was a person with double account and they forgot to sound like different people. lol
Item/gold rollbacks I’d support, no need to rollback story or experience progression… Ideally if they can find a way to reverse all duped transactions that would be ideal. E.g if you sold a stacked deck for 10k and that 10k was duped gold you get your gold deleted and your deck back.
I made a voidbent helm from a void ore I found and mats I farmed and I’d be willing to lose that if it meant saving and restoring the economy.
Honestly this post should be put somewhere on it’s own. People probably don’t see the honest responses unless they happen to go in this thread.
@Kay From what I understand, this glitch is not the same as the one found in Closed Beta. It was fixed, and already patched out in Open Beta. From what I have read, I believe this glitch has only recently recurred with patch 1.04 (not confirmed, but seems likely) so the damage has only really been done over the last few days.
That said, on some servers the damage to the economy (both in duplicated gold, and items and the subsequent sale of those items, and transferal of funds to unsuspecting players is still astronomical, and I can only see one way that could fix it. Saying that: Are we likely to see a rollback of servers to before patch 1.04?
Even if the glitch was in the game prior to patch 1.04, at least the awareness of the glitch only spread from that point onwards. I don’t know how difficult it may be to catch abusers prior to the patch, but assuming you have logs of some kind, this should be possible (and likely much easier with fewer (if anyone) abusing it.
Furthermore, the problem is compounded as some unscrupulous companies ++cough, purple filth, cough++ have abused the lockdown on trading to instigate territorial conflict, and declare war; while other companies can not do so due to lack of funding in their respective Company Treasuries.
Please note that the system still refused to accept declaration of war (the “trade disabled” message), even if a company had enough funds for a smaller warcamp (T1), while accepting declarations from companies with a hefty bankroll that could afford the largest waramp (T3).
