As a developer myself, I highly recommend stopping the weekly patches and instead focusing on doing regular, routine hot fixes. I would much, much rather see more downtime and more frequent patches than an entire week of game breaking bugs being left untended.
When playing this game, I’m not looking for quantity over quality in the hours I spend playing the game. Going a week without being able to play any other build than a hatchet/strength build with heavy armor and onyx is a real buzzkill, and ruins PvP in all aspects of the game (war, outpost rush, open world). Please, please stop doing a waterfall weekly patch, and hold more frequent downtime for the critical patches in the middle of the week. We want quality gameplay, not broken buggy gameplay.
In addition, you’ll find that you’re A LOT less stressed out when that weekly patch comes up and during the downtime you uncover more bugs. If you do this in small increments every few days with smaller patches, you’ll have less bugs, less stress, and a better work life balance. Continuous delivery is always going to yield happier customers, better work life balance, and less bugs in the long run.
