Developers, when are you guys going to take action with VOID GAUNTLET?

Hammer/ void gauntlet dominates wars though.
You can’t play melee without it. It is a bit overtuned indeed.

As someone that has used it, and has been against it…I don’t see the issue with it.

The lunge is really my only complaint. I can just spam it to keep up with players trying to avoid the blade. Only thing that really needs fixed. Rest seems fine.

Yeah. All of those things are true. Just because they hurt your feelings don’t make them less so. If you think the weapon outdamages other weapons you are flat out wrong. If you are face tanking voidblades its because you are dumb, a hurr durr type and not playing smart. Nothing i said was inaccurate. I’m sorry that truth hurts.

I moved to VG/LS since the nerf took place with FS/IG (IG is still good FS it baaaad). I went this way because it feels like my contribution to the group has increased 100% with being able to support and deal damage. Which is what I believe NW wants in their healers since we do not have infinite healing and our best heal requires coordination to achieve. In OPR/PvE my main focus is healing and when the opportunity arise I go in for some combat.

In open-world solo or in duels LS/VG is fairly weak and anyone with some experience either using or fighting against it will know how to fully counter this build. It is 100% built around cool downs and AoE which can be baited and avoided. In group content especially PvP it shines because people get tunnel vision and don’t see the void on them until it is to late.

But I love LS/VG because it is challenging but also very rewarding. There is some risk with it especially to get in and deal damage but it is worth it if you survive. You also need to manage the most resources my health, teams health, stamina, mana, cooldowns…lots going on to play effectively.

Regarding the VG’s Blade I think its a numerical Problem.
The Weapon itself is no Problem and there are Counters to its Abilities. What is odd with the Void Gauntlet is the Blade Damage even if you dont skill any Points into its Stats (INT/FOC). The Base Damage of the Blade seems way to high in my opinion after testing it with my DEX Stats.

I think it is over tuned as well, but scaling with focus is a very bad idea. Healing is already strong, healers should not have a good DPS option without giving up our healing.

Independant of weapon: balancing pvp is a very big challange.

… and since pvp and pve uses obviously the same mechanics it’s imho a nearly impossible mission to balance the “whole” (pvp and pve) combat system.

In worst case the engine does’nt allow to differ between pvp and pve.

An AGS statement about my last two sentences would nice.

You’re ignorant or a troll if you don’t believe the vg needs some form of nerf. Everyone runs vg for scream and void circle. Wars consist of running up to packs, scream, circle, and then watching everyone in the circle be deleted by melee. The blade is fine. The orb of decay is fine. They need to nerf the insane dmg buff of the circle really. People on here talking too much about 1v1.

You’re crazy. Plenty of people on my server run vg/ig and slap.

They literally made a post saying they’re on vacation and won’t make game changes until 2022.

I just think it’s wild how many people are using and or scared of void blade.

Very surprised that the people complaining about VG (epitome of PvPers I’m sure) aren’t aware that a VG user can’t roll while the sword is out :thinking:. I use LS/VG (Orb, scream, oblivion, cos healer) and I have literally zero trouble with VG’s because I have my dodge keybound :rofl: the amount of light kit VG users that I’ve made sheathe their sword and waste the entire 30 second CD (not just the 15 seconds that is easy to waste) is incredible. Some people cry, some people learn how to win :man_shrugging:

FIx root. Make it break upon damage like all the other cc. Root makes it so you cannot dodge and dodging is essential to survival. I rarely die outside of root. I think this is the major reason so many people are running vg now and ice gauntlet. Or make these weapons do no damage to compensate for their insane utility.

See, even as a healer that plays with Scream, this is only fair, right? Purely from an RP point of view, I’m sure a massive 2-handed hammer would immobilise me much easier than a scream :thinking:

From a balance PoV it only seems fair, I mean I don’t really die in screams because I can still heal + block + health pot which more than makes up for the 2-3 seconds, but who knows, maybe some people can’t afford health pots or something :rofl:
