Devs, (and everyone) you should read this. (and agree)

Incorrect. New World is a mostly pve game with a few pve elements. No matter how hard you mouth breathers drool about it being a pvp game it’s not going to make it so.

So you have people that agree with you agreeing with you. I’m guessing you define hardcore gamers as those heavily invested in PvP. They would have to be if they support “Don’t ALLOW PVE MODE** in the last 3 north zones.”
It’s like going to a symposium on how man is affecting the environment then taking a poll there about climate change and claiming 90% agree. Hell 100% should agree as they are there for the same reason you are there.

The auction house issue is a quality of life issue not a game break issue so doesn’t come close to being a priority. It might be a relatively easy fix though so maybe it will happen? many other things should have more attention though. The chat bug is a more serious problem but personally I don’t think it is a top ten problem.

Some of your points are fairly vague. Going back to real life there was a poll in the US that asked the question do you think changes are needed in our border security. Well over 80% said yes. One news organization used that poll to claim over 80% supports amnesty for illegal immigrants. Another used the poll to support their agenda. The poll basically asked is there a problem. It didn’t ask about ways to fix the problem. One person could answer yes and think everyone caught crossing to border should be charged with a felony and another answering yes could want there to be no border checks at all.
Your points are like that. Most agree there is a problem. How to solve that problem is where the disagreements begin. As example nobody that plays the game fair wants to see bots. Very few agree the way to deal with them is force PvP.

These aren’t even close to the top issues.

I was thinking the same thing, aside from weapon swap (which is only one element of the issues with combat) nothing on that list would resolve the big issues with the game

Here’s my feedback to your feedback:

  • profession boxes. Not sure I agree with this. Yes, the legendary mats for CD materials dropped drastically in price, but the price of raw mats went up (and asmodeum on my server is now 500g/per). You can make 4K/day just by selling your CDs.

  • Auto-PvP in some zones… ugh. Well, I’m for it, but it better bring a ton of players back because you’re sure to lose at least 10% if this is implemented.

  • The others I agree with but am surprised they made your “top 6” list. (Though the chat bugs are in fact pretty annoying)

Here’s what I recommend (I’ll make a separate more clear thread later):

  • handle bots. Last time I ran out of WW, I saw two right behind each other on the exact same path. Hilarious and horrifying. I get it, there’s legal precautions to be certain, but man is it obvious who’s a bot and who’s not.

  • give me the feeling that my contributions matter. If you’re not part of a big powerful company, it’s really hard to feel like you matter on the world stage. Even if you’re a hardcore player. All you’re doing by helping someone else win a war is make them rich. Smaller companies of 3-10 active players need a way for them to feel important. We need a partial “stake” in territory profits (maybe not control) if we helped push into conflict and helped win the war (or allow the governor to split profits manually with the companies of his/her choosing). Right how my choices are to join a big company (and feel like a number) or to help a big company. Small, close-knit companies… zero advantages.

  • keep knocking out a few bugs every week

  • we need more OPR maps, and maybe even more size types (add 10v10 with a new map), but do not separate queues. Sometimes your queue will pop with 20 people (10v10), or sometimes 32 (20v20), but we need variety. OPR is awesome. Even if the rest of the game fell away, I’d still log in for OPR.

  • allow for better metrics to show off in OPR. I did almost 1M damage the other day, with probably 25+ knockdowns. But because my fireball light attack never got the kill in time (and damage isn’t visible by everyone), it looks like I was “meh”. On the stats screen, by default, call out the top 5 damage, kills, knockdowns, heals, and resources.

  • in crafting, allow for a progressive improvement to getting the perks you want. The timeless stuff is great for attributes, but three days ago I crafted 14 Orichalcum bows for a guy in the most powerful company. He gave me craft mods for crit chance and timeless for Dex. I streamed it, and we did 5, then 9 more. He got 2 legendaries but none with the perks he wanted. He sounded so deflated and said, “this game sucks”. I felt his pain. I wanted him to get what he wanted. So, we need to make it to where you “could” get lucky on your first craft, but the more you get something less than ideal, you get a better and better chance of getting what you want.

  • Keep expeditions coming. Gen/Laz (which I haven’t done yet but have the orbs for) are highly sought after on my server, spots selling for 2k.

  • Make solo instances that are very, very difficult. Some folks either like to play alone (like for me, I love people/groups/companies, but sometimes I’m so distracted by my family/work, that I can’t commit to group play). Give me a challenge with a cool reward.

  • Add arenas. Not PvE arenas like we have, but PvP arenas. I think 3v3 would be ideal, but I’m sure everyone would want 1v1, 2v2, and 5v5 as well. Post the leaderboard in every major town and on the interwebs. Let us join multiple 3v3 teams, pick a name, and a crest, etc. let us buy matching armor skins in the store. Plenty of ways to milk us for all kinds of money with this team pride stuff.

  • show who is selling on the TP. I’d rather buy from my faction, friends, etc. and would rather NOT buy from bots or players with a bad reputation. This is one way to help curb the bot problem. Most will still choose the cheapest, but some will avoid buying from a bot. (Their names are obvious… “ghxxe”)

  • Show on the character/inventory UI what luck stats you’re currently rocking, including house trophies. I’m always doing manual math to try and figure out where I’m at. It should be easier to see what’s currently affecting my toon.

  • throw the RP community a bone. I don’t really RP, but find a way to fill up those barstools in the inn with people trying to play “in character”. Conduct a special symposium with the RP leaders to hear what they’d like to see implemented. I’d love to see their presence increased, even if it’s just in my own periphery.

  • keep the Dev/CM videos coming. I loved hearing what you guys were thinking. If you don’t do stuff like this, it leaves us with the forums and Reddit to slowly decay our right frame of mind…. Sooner or later we’ll start to believe the crap we read here. Give us more Dev dialogue.

I see what you mean. But unfortunately we aren’t the same player type.

I’m part of a “big company” like you said and the game resumed for me :

  • Connecting, doing my cd’s and asking for asmo cd all day long in global.
  • Buying Laza/Gene run to loot timeless
  • Pushing territories and losing attacks
  • Crafting sessions
  • Disconnecting

So yes, this is my actually top6. And i love so much this game that i’m affected by how the game turn.

It’s incredibly shameless to implement mutations (mythics+) before fixing all the pvp problems.

You have to remember NW was fully PVP at start and they changed the direction to comfort casuals players base. That’s weird.

As someone said above, all tryharders are leaving one by one the game every day.

I’m sad.

Could we just let them fix the performance and clunky bar swap. All the rest is your opinion my man and way TLDR most these guys cant even read.

People flagged my thread poking fun at threads like these , yet these threads stay up? trololol.

They dont read topics dude, only the community manager does.

The poor dude is probably ignored as well

“Don’t ALLOW PVE MODE”
Fuck. That. Shit.

umm how about no? NW “used” to be not “IS” …NW is PVX(BOTH PVE AND PVP) also there is NO way nw devs would make the last 3 areas PVP… plain out right stupid…imo

I think you are wrong.

the major problem with this is where there is a large faction imbalance (almost every server): the largest faction will just start camping the entrances to Myrk/Mines/sirens etc making it impossible for the smaller factions to even enter.

Guess what happens then? they either transfer server if they can, or quit, making the problem even worse .

While I agree that Psychopaths should be jailed, that narcissism is bad, and my cinnamon rolls are the best thing since oxygen, I simply cant agree with anything you have typed. Congrats on typing it though.

Well if they would implement a lawful system where killing someone x levels below you makes you unable to go to town… probably better solution

thats called circle jerk

Actually disable pvp from the game , and make bots legal i also think 99% agree , and you should agree , i am big brain .

ACTUAL practical issues. Could not agree more.

While I agree, it does not mean a lot of other will. It does not even have to be in the fort, just… further.

So what? It also brought down prices of asmodeum. A lot more crafting happening.

WHY?!? I really disagree on this. Besides, NW is a fishing game.

Hello NW team^

It’s really time to do a statement on the PvP in your game.

After the gypsum update, the january one still only affecting PVE content. While most of your players are here because the main promesse was “Nw is a PvP game”.

When will we have Arenas ? Weapons balances ? New OPR maps ? Desync fixes ?

After adding luck in PvP mode, you introduced boxes and it totally reverted your previous change.

There is no reason for players to farm in PvP now, it’s ridiculous. Like 90% players just don’t give af about wild pvp on my server (lyonesse).

You have to really do something to keep your pvp players on your game !

And at LEAST, please fix the movement bug in war, half of the 100 players have to jump over and over because they are permanently slowed, so annoying.

And you still can answer to my original topic.

Thanks.
