Not sure where to put this or if it’s needed. Hopefully the Dev team assigned to bots already has an inside scoop on this particular [or similar] botting community, but if not; This is some messaging being put out by them
In a lot of instances, the botters are using two PC’s, one to run the bot, the other to run New World, and using programs like Parsec, RDP, Geforce NOW to allow the two PC’s to communicate.
This has been a thing for a while. Just like the two pc streaming setup. Main machine runs the game, second machine watches a stream from the first computer over NDI and using machine learning to apply the aim bot / etc. Impossible to police that. Once that code was released into the wild it was over, because it can be run on pc, and console.
All they need to do is have a GM that goes to a reported bot and bans them so no need to do anything complicated but it seems having a GM is to much hard work for them.
You can spot a bot within seconds and a GM could simply teleport to the area and see its a bot and BAN.
I would love an answer why AGS can not have a GM and why it takes so long IF EVER to ban a bot.
