Seeing as 14 minutes ago they stated a PTR patch #6 at 5:00 today, i think next week is gonna be the live patch. Their is no way they would push a PTR update today and launch live today. They do this on tuesday and wednesdays so next week is hopefully the day. This week seems like a wash =(

Honestly until that all comes out im still going to have fun playing the game I want to play. I haven’t seen what is being brought in brimstone sands yet.
They have been releasing better patches, with less game breaking bugs and more big fixes, qol improvements, events, and balances.
I am not counting on anything in particular but if the trend keeps going in the same direction with patches I dont see a reason to prematurely give up on the game.
I am interested in throne and liberty, and I plan to try it but Im not going to stop playing new world because a game I may or may not like is maybe coming out this year. Also I am a big fan of Ashes of creation but 2024 is very optimistic, possible but optimistic it might not be out until 2025 or 2026.
So i am not outright disagreeing with your position on future games, I actually agree a lot about future mmos being big. Although I think players have a decent reason to be excited about this and future patches for new world.

I am happy with their focus on quality these past few patches. So a ptr 6 is some new I can cope with. At least I can see they have some reason for not releasing the patch asap.
I love how they managed to sneak yet another hatchet nerf in there.
I just read that. I really hope they are just making it balanced. I really would like to see a proper throwing hatchet build on live.

Hop on to ptr and provide feedback on the quests. It’s been next to impossible to test crafting, mutations, and even a normal leg.
I’ve tested loot extensively, instruments, leaving, medely faire, and personally logged probably around 10-20 bugs.
I didn’t see these addressed in the patch notes. I know you are aware of the quick salvage doesn’t work.
- I crashes the LFg finder 3 times (and probably the server)
I’ve salvaged and broke expeince craft salvaging patch 2 or 1 can’t remember

salavged 1000s of items I know that

numerous exploits were reported for black powder,

I see fishing lock animation. Is fixed ( I hope)

dancing issues for medley and more,
You all just need to go out there patch 6 fixes some items I’ve not even seen and I’ve been out there and that sever with 3 characters deleting them.
Overall though things are a lot more stable, so just guessing the patch will arrive soon my guess is Friday ( just providing nothing is server crashing )

This is really important and Im more adding to this than responding. But seriously people should be active in the ptr I have reported a few bugs and tested a few things, more on the combat side. My wife has tested some crafting despite spending hours to roll crafting earings (aptitude boxes are the easiest way to get mods btw).
Even if the testing done is shallow and someone just tests a few things that they care about then it helps.
Randomly dueling a on ptr we discovered the exhausted perk on the hatchet was causing a 6 sec perma stun and a silence. The guy randomly had it on his hatchet so i tested it on my gloves and we found it was that weapon skill perk causing the bug. Neither one of us knew what was going on and neither of us knew about and later that day everyone was doing it xD.
