Devs need to do something with the lack of tanking

Heavy armor definitely needs a rework or a buff.
Personally, I’d like to see a multiplier applied to Defensive buffs based on your armor level. 0.5x for light, 1.0x (no difference) for medium, and 1.5x for heavy.

Almost no one wears Medium or heavy armor.
They have the stats, they need to buff Medium and Heavy or weaken light.

Or just change it so all armor is light cause, its very broken right now

Its Not only that Problem, the Problem is u have to much Different Activities in this Game.

I See 15 Different groups they search for different things because u have everytime 2 Mutationen per Week with 10 different lvl and 4 different Normal Expeditions.

The Playerpool is too Small, we Need Crossing Server

I tank in New World, but nonetheless, this is exactly what I’m talking about. It is not apparent; it is not clear. It’s terrible UX design. And only strengthens what I say, the game doesn’t inform players. Beyond that, it still doesn’t seem to indicate when you’re about to be dropping agro? I mean you certainly don’t need a marker to know that something is hitting you at the moment, but upfront awareness of being close to losing it is much more interesting. Information much more readily available in more PvE oriented MMO’s, either natively or via addons.

And second, I know there are plenty of AoE abilities, but as said, this is vastly different from the single target ranged taunt tanks often have in MMO’s to call back a scattered target. The AoE abilities come at much more limited range.

So you essentially want a visible threat meter aka hand-holding so you’ll know exactly when you’re about to drop threat, and the blatantly obvious red outline that shows what you have threat on isn’t obvious enough? :sweat_smile::joy::rofl:

I can’t think of a single mmo that has visual cues to let you know threat is about to drop. It’s easy to tell in NW when you’ve lost threat.

Hand-holding is never the way to go.

Im tank Maramma but im fairly well maxed out on gold/umbral/gear so I spend my time pvping with heavy bb ig. Also nearly all my PVE time gets requested by my company so I almost never run Pubs.

I’d try to get in a company that has a few tanks to run with.

I really wouldnt say Maramma is focused on pvp. I mean there is pvp but not on the scale of servers like old Eden. Theres not much large scale open world pvp.

Maramma is an ERP server. Sweats come to visit, get their rocks off, and leave. They’ll move on soon.

AGS can remove the SnS weapon and with it the tank class.

In pvp tank isent wanted.

In pve tank is not much better then an dps with 100cons or 5man group with a light paladin.
