That could happen and people will not see it coming
Perfect examples!
This is not an emergency just because you have to wait a little time to log in, the game is not in constant decline, the players that enjoy the game continue to play it and ppl that try it out and its not for them will stop playing it, just use your basic common sense they will do things when they are able to
There is no reason to have devs working on a weekend, mon-fri is more than adequate, even if they did work 7 days a week they are not going to fix anything right away, waiting in a que is not something that needs fixed and the ques are not that long compared to waiting several hours at release you are complaining about nothing.
they have recently increased the cap, and devs have tweeted that they’re working on it
Taking three days to fix a dupe exploit because it was a long weekend, or happened late on a friday night isn’t a “harmless” instance. In fact, I’m pretty sure the majority of the players here on this forum and the hundreds of thousands that have left this game would argue that unreasonably long response times to bugs, exploits, and grey-area misbehaving was an integral part of why players felt like this game was failing. We’re now at a year with the aftermath of exploits still lingering in the game. There’s a reason BiS is selling for 2-3mil and not 50-100k
This would be like saying the electric company shouldn’t work on weekends, or that fast food joints shouldn’t be open 24/7. It’s better to pay an employee overtime, or to offer a “second shift” bonus rather than to just disregard your business in general.
AGS already has moderators that work weekends, why not tack on a developer or two to handle any obscurities that might (have) occurred…?
All the exploited gold was removed and if you take advantage of a dupe you will get banned and everything removed anyway so its hardly an issue, ppl leaving has nothing to do with bugs or exploits and everything to do with what content in available plain and simple.
Its a game its not essential for devs to be available every day, even WoW bugs dont get fixed straight away and can be several weeks or months before they are actually fixed, one dev wouldnt be able to do much if anything at all.
I’m sure the hundreds of thousands of Asmodeum floating around on every server was obtained legitimately.
Let’s see… .6% of the playerbase has 200 smelting. 6% of 2000 is 120, 120 x 365 days = 43800 (not sure when the x10 was added)
43800 x 10 = 438,000 I’d have to see when they changed asmodeum from 1 to 10 to see what the potential total actually is, but assuming that they released with x10 per day- this would still be the absolute maximum.
This of course is assuming that 6% of the playerbase hit 200 smelting on the first day (which they did not), this is assuming that 100% of the 6% of players with 200 smelting are ALL still playing the game (they all are not). This is assuming that all 120 of those players on every server have never skipped a day of crafting asmodeum (they most certainly have, I personally have crafted asmoduem less than 5 times)
I’ve seen individual players as late as two weeks ago selling 10k asmodeum, not to mention the thousands of asmodeum that has been used in crafting, the thousands of asmodeum that is on the AH.
Saying that all the duped items and gold are gone from the game is just… ignorant.
I know is our 40 dollar worth. But thank you very much. Better later then never!
the second a new NA East server is added ill be in there…
Great to hear this is happening.
some of us have been several days without being able to play. it is now, now, now because we want to play and make use of something that we have paid for. I didn’t decide to merge servers before a big expansion. but if I have paid for the game. so i want to play. now, now, now. today today Today
1 additional SV to EU REGION meanwhile in peak time there are like 4k people in Queue, not mentioning full SV each? Interesting… Is Boris J. there by any chance with you? You must be joking right?
3 or 4 more EU servers is the minimum what you should do 1 hour ago… And keep in mind that people are still returning to this game…
It’s actually a Step in the good direction don’t you agree ? AGS learned from their mistakes because I was sure they were going to open 5+ servers on each region and we would of seen dead server. ONE server is fine , if tomorrow this server is FULL and with queue , nothing stop AGS to open one more server. Forums is full of crybabies what happened this weekend HOLY
For christs sake, it was labor day weekend and the next business day they announced new servers coming in 2 days. I’ll admit AGS hasn’t done the best job in the MMO market, but this is one scenario that they’ve done a good job with responding and taking quick action.
Delaying with this step is like 5 steps back. I can wait and I will play no matter what but many people will leave cuz of these hours spent in Queue. I wish they could react faster, not for myself but for many others.
Considering it took square-enix weeks/month to address their server issues, i’d say this was pretty quick over a weekend.
