Personnaly, I think its fair? They spent time lvling up gearscore, we spent time logging.
We have better logging skills…they have better gearscore…

Reset their Expertise and let them open up elite chests a little faster.
The players who are against the lowering of weapons to your HWM/Expertise are complaining they don’t want to grind. Now you’re here asking that those players who did grind already will have to restart?
Are you really that upset that you didn’t raise your own HWM the entire time? Don’t punish the rest of the player base who already worked on levelling HWM when you didn’t.
If they do this then they need to just reset EVERYTHING excluding player Lv. Also reset all gold giving all players straight 50k.
Then its fair for everyone.
It’s pointless to argue about which route took more time to increase GS. They all required a lot of time. If you did elite runs and normal chest runs, you’d probably spent a couple hours a day. If you did crafting, you’d probably spent a couple hours a day gathering mats. If you bought items off the market, you’d probably spent a couple hours farming gold (assuming you weren’t in a large company holding a high traffic zone). They all required players putting in time, assuming nobody exploited or RMT.
The point is, there were 3 different ways to increase GS. This new proposal removed 2 of them. Of course people who didn’t do the looting chest route will get mad. AGS was very unclear from the beginning how they wanted players to progress in the game. If they had been more transparent and said “This is the way we want players to progress, and we will reinforce that from the start”, then people wouldn’t have wasted time leveling up crafting gear or farming gold to buy stuff off the market.
It’s only fair if everyone is affected. Either everyone gets resetted, or nobody gets affected by GS reduction, period.

Sounds like a bit more of a cakewalk when you start bringing in the hatchet and GA exploits… and the 10+ people doing it.
You aren’t seeing why people are unhappy with their proposal. They aren’t mad because they have to do this part. They’re mad because their gear strength is being reduced because they weren’t informed that crafting and buying off market weren’t the way AGS intended for their players to progress.
Transparency is very important. If AGS had said from the beginning that HWM will be enforced, people wouldn’t have wasted time and money leveling their crafting or farming gold for items from the market.
Would you be mad if you grinded HWM for a month, only for AGS to propose that crafting is the only way to progress and whoever does not have crafting maxed will have their GS reduced?
In fact, it was quite the opposite.
(Nothing in that “About” regarding… that you can use yourself…once you’ve looted an item of similar value.)
Which makes it even more ridiculous that they are doing this lol…
Imagine pissing off 2/3rds of your player base, to please the other 1/3rd who chew through content.
This is not about which camp is “right”, this is about practicality.
AGS should support the people who go through the content slower… that’s in their best interest, seeing as they can’t produce any meaningful content aside from turkeys!
