Gshade has depth buffers that Reshade does not have, however Gshade is a custom build of Reshade with more features.
It is against the code of conduct as written, that is my only concern. It certaily does not give you any kind of advantage, totally harmless in my opinion, however wtihout an official word from amazon saying allowed or not allowed I personally would not chance it, even more so with people being banned for the overwolf minimap in the last few days.
They only thing I think Amazon might say would be an advantage is you could likely remove the thick fog in areas like Reekwater to see farther.
I don’t think anyone is getting banned for the minimap. They said it’s fine so long as it doesn’t change in the way it works.
Do you know the exact wording of the terms Reshade and Gshade would be breaking? I got good enough reading comprehension to let you know if it does or not.
Your information is inaccurate, they have said it is NOT fine because it shows the locations of nodes and chests etc. They clearly said that where that information is pulled from the game files or a website it goes beyond just player position and therefore is not allowed. Since that announcement several people have been banned for using it.

It clearly does, it says if it shows node locations or safe areas where it is pulled from a website or the game client it is not allowed, it says if your addon is ONLY using character position it is allowed. The minimap shows all the information from the new world map website (which is not an amazon owned site), therefore it goes directly against what is stated in the link I posted. It is very clear they said it 3 times why are people so hard headed.

If the minimap comes in the form of a client-controlled addon and solely uses the position of the player in the world, it’s fine. If the functionality integrates other web sites to determine the location of nodes, paths, or safe/unsafe areas, then it’s not ok.

Is the minimap using the position of the player only? Yes? ok
Is it using a website to determine the data listed? Yes? Not ok.
No? Then it’s ok.
Now figure out how the minimap works.
They didn’t say we can’t use it though. They only said we can’t use addons that do those things. If the addon doesn’t do them, then it’s ok to use it.
A minimap would typically show you a portion of the map and your location on said map. As far as I know, that’s all a barebones minimap does.

Ok, but they still never said you can’t use it. They only said you can’t use them if they contain these features. If he were to remove them, you could use it.
They never made a direct statement saying you can’t use Overwolf’s minimap.
So if you go around saying we can’t use it but he made the changes necessary, it hurts his addon.
You can also go look at their demo, drag it around, you can see every node, every chest, every animal and predator spawn etc.

They didn’t directly say you can’t use Overwolf’s addon. They only stated which features are not allowed. If he removes them, then the addon is allowed. There’s a difference between that and saying his addon is not allowed.
