Devs - Stop Designing for GA/WH to Dominate

Oh really? Well then they should DEFINITELY remove it, because only GA/WH can even benefit from the perk.

Melee =/= GA/WH. If melee needs grit, that means every melee.

How does a GA player not be able to catch a FS/IG player? I mean the GA players has much faster base movement speed. That sounds pretty fishy to me.

No matter, long as these Devs exclusively cater to GA/WH players. They’ll lose most of the other types of players. I mean the Steamcharts don’t lie.

Far as the FS/IG in point-defense based games. Anyone in that is somewhat intelligent, would expect them to post more damage numbers. However outside of that they just tickle unless people just sit in the weak AoEs. Meanwhile GA and WH have so much burst damage while being so tanky and very mobile in the same build. Are the ones who mostly kills and win matches.

My question to you is simply this. If Team A was all GA/WH players and Team B was all FS/IG players. Which team would win that matchup?

He is talking about this assuming he walks into every root. And that this is a duel situation where he has no opportunities to hit someone else and his passive cleave doesnt count. And that he is running full onyx.

Basically, GA/WH logic requires you to accept that they should not have to build or play around other builds.

Idk i feel like the strongest weapon in the game is the Ice gauntlet and it has been since the beginning of launch. Ice shower is the strongest ability in the game Its a root,rend and it takes away the ability to dodge. Melee was in the gutter before this patch and sure it might be a bit strong right now the game is in a better state than IG/VG and every ranged class using rapier as a secondary makes melee extremely boring to play. 4 months of VG/IG on top and rapier players as soon as the power shifts just nothing but complaints lmao.

Vg ig can be nerfed without the only melee build that isnt struggling getting a direct buff.

Find me one patch where the norm was less than 10 GA/WH players per war group. Most patches - anywhere near 10 dex is considered a throw.

GA/WH has only been s tier in war, never less. Alot of the outrage over ig/vg was due to people having to deal with a NEW all around s tier build. Super oppresive for nobody to ever feel safe on or off point unless they have a full on immunity or grit. So people attacked the new thing because old game balance WAS better. Its still all poorly balanced.

People are used to being rolled by ga/wh and just accept it at this point

i mean if u think GA/WH was on the same level as VG/IG not much can be argued. I guess just lack of experience. you can do the same thing a GA does with Void ice 300/200 most wars people were running 20+ mages 12 Healers and 15 Melee some of those being Sns and a few dex. Bow is extremely good in wars but very few can play it well should be getting 1.5 mil -2 mil a war so dex players never get slotted cause there is very few good ones.

nah not true, gate way to entry for GA/WH is lower just cause it has more utility buy you can easily tell the difference between a good GA and a bad one.

I think Ice void was stronger pre patch than GA/WH, but that build never fell out of favor. Especially compared to dex melee. Most people dont even bother specifying between “melee” and “GA/WH” - its assumed you run the all around best melee build.

War numbers always will favor ranged. Doesnt change the fact that GA/WH decide point control, which is the objective in wars.

nah void ice had just as much point control if not more pre patch. shower scream oblivions were what won point fights.

Just standard Grav well, maelstrom, heavy.

Only variation is movement. Better players tend to rubber band more.

As a light ga/wh user, also have a heavy set, i agree 100% nerf grav well and give me back my lunge.

Better players can get out before the heavy or completely negate your malestorm. Literally only the crappy noobs complain about grav well.

This is half way true… The problem is not get out… is avoid ALL of them…1v1 i dance around meatheads (gw/wh player), even 2 or 3, light roll, i barely use my rapier with hearthy. The issue is how many meatheads

So so far i was the opinion the GA/WH meta isnt as bad as ppl tried to make it sound like and i still stand behind everything i said. But so far we played on mid and later low pop servers an most of the time here just werent the numbers to really choose exactly the war classes you need and we had all classes in our wars pretty balanced. After playing abit on a higher pop server with the companies being able to choose exactly the classes they want this problem is really noticeable. with like 30 GA/WH users followed by 15 healers with VG or IG as secondary and then like 5 glass cannon ranged dps players running around the map thats a really anoying meta.

As i said theres not really a problem if you dont play on a server thats not constantly chasing the meta but i guess alot of servers have this problem.

The upcoming war changes are a good step in the right direction of making wars more fair but to make wars more fun again you shouldnt always see the same players with the same war strat. the Blunderbuss will probably change that but only for a short time and one week later theres the next meta with 30 GA/Blunderbuss users.

The thing is new meta seems to be GA/IG, it is actually really good and hate it even more than GA/WH.

Last war I watched defending company was IG/X (GA/IG, LF/IG, FS/IG) and like 2/3 of the people were GA. My company is considering not slotting DEX anymore as they don’t contribute much… maybe only have a couple Musket and thats it.
