Diablo 3s first 6 months > New Worlds first 6 months when it comes to disasters

I mean look @ eso the game was in the 1000s daily total of people and still they didnt give up on it.

NW is no where near as bad of state as people are saying.

Bring back stagger, revert June2020 movement changes, cut down on gear bloat and unnecessary grinds, more open world content with anti-zerg mechanics.

A few simple, sensible changes and I’d be back in a heartbeat.

Theres some very real difference between D3 and NW. For example, D3 (generally speaking) had combat fleshed out – fluid and fun. NW is the opposite and is built on a terrible engine., lacks direction, etc etc. The problem list with NW is a mile long. D3 underneath was a solid game.

Comeback? This one aint coming back unless they pull the game and do a bottom up rebuild. It just wasn’t ready, and now, has millions of salty players under its belt.

they never did adjust combat for the removal of stagger, bring it back combat was way better with it in game. Mobs stagger the hell out of us but we dont to them.

Bring back stagger! revert all combat changes to what we started with. Start fixing it from there.

Same with WOW and FFXIV and a ton of other games. NW is not the worst game release in history and it isn’t going to die. The devs are constantly updating and fixing things. People just like to complain

yes they do enjoy it for diferent reasons and the 7% of players that enjoy the grind stayed the rest of us left

Help your weak company members get 625 and 50 man that 5mil a week territory. Youre not into PvP? Carry your PvPers through PvE so they can do it then.

RuneScape set the grind standard for me. Nothing can beat that. Lmao. Lost Arks collectible system is a close one though. Lol

I agree, bugs and what not is the most hurtful part. I don’t think the u.bral system is bad per say, it’s just unrefined and unfinished. You can’t 600 to 625 content without having multiple avenues to do it. They’re adding it to OPR and buffing the amount from crafting so now if you PvE PvP gather and craft you naturally get umbral.

I think they should iterate it into 520 to 590 for lower levels so they can use it as well. Give umbral fragments or something in normal expeditions that go 1 to 1 all the way up to 590.

And that’s the kicker. 100% agreed. A game with this much potential should not have, “resources,” as an excuse for how they are developing in a video.

Nonsense. Having a grind doesn’t mean there’s something to do.

If the grind isn’t fun, and the content after the grind isn’t fun, then there’s nothing FUN to do. They shouldn’t need to specify that in a video game, because many games understand that it’s important to make the grind fun, or at least offer a good carrot after the stick.

If there’s nothing inherently FUN to do, then there’s functionally nothing to do in the GAME. No matter how many mindless shitty grinds they add.

I mean we should get more dungeons.
But spamming dungeons is pretty standard Endgame content for most MMOs.
In here we have less dungeons but also sole elite zones. So it’s not that different imo

Trying to be a standard MMO is such a disservice to this game’s potential. This game was on track to be something so much more and then the big shots at AGS decided they wanted to hard-shift development less than a year before release and pander to lazy design. It’s that short-sighted vision that’s killing this game faster than any other factor.

They should make 10 man groups for the elite zones. Zerg capability pretty much negates 10 man elite zones as content.

Why are you comparing 2 complete different games and both in completely different genres? Not only that, Diablo in general has a decent size following and not something that would just die. New World is a brand new game and didn’t come from a popular IP.

Gear up to 590 is a lot easier to achieve with the current expertise system than the HWM old system.

Im not even a fan of the umbral system, but trying it to 590 at least made majority end game crafted gear relevant.

Gear below 590 is super cheap now, so late starters have way more abundance of choices.

Like you said adding shards to OPR, doubling what casts give, and maybe adding shards to deconstruction of 600+ gear.
