Since there is a lot of discussions about gearscore and its value from PvP perspective I just wanted to share my tests here. It seems to me a lot of people think the difference is much bigger than it actually is which may be very intimidating for new players.
Short version: Defensive difference was under 5%, offensive difference was about 30-35%.
This topic isn´t about expressing my opinion, I just wanted you to see raw numbers for future discussions.

Thats a matter of opinion. For me its acceptable difference for an MMORPG. But I am a long term WoW player where the difference between fresh players and vets is much bigger than in NW and im used to it.
You are forgetting the main reason the game failed. Dups, cheat and exploits. It’s been long enough, or has it, that everyone participating was receiving full BiS everything including cash so they never had to earn or grind, or buy.
There are still many left who know and remember, despite the fact my server peaks at 122, the reason there is a gap is the problem.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this guy lacks IQ.
That 5% difference is per piece of equipment, not the total equipment, if you have 10 pieces of equipment there is a difference of 50% and in weapon that % is even higher.
Imagine calling others stupid instead of looking at actual in-game test. I literally served you these results on a silver platter and you still can´t even fuckin look at it. How dumb can you be? You didn´t do any tests, you have zero game knowledge and all you do is whining, whining and whining. Stop being lazy moron and do tests yourself or at least have a little decency to respect tests which did others for you.
Boy, you don’t even know how to interpret the data you’re seeing. I repeat, I passed the experience barrier a long time ago and I have enough GS to be able to kill almost everyone who crosses my path, but that’s not the point.
I get 4,85% more incoming dmg while wearing FULL GEAR. In what world is that 5% per piece? Tell me man really, what logic is that?
For instance, I got 3.571 damage into 535 gear vs 3.379 damage into 622 gear. In what world is that 5% PER PIECE of armor?
