I have not discussed reprimanding anyone in any of my posts above, I most certainly did not single you out in any post regarding farming, nor did I ever suggest your ability to farm be curtailed.
Ohh…and as a side note. I am Aptitude 58 in logging, Aptitude 44 in mining, Aptitude 24 in harvesting, Aptitude 6 in skinning and I did the vast majority of that in 8 weeks.
So, your attempt to slam me with “Don’t punish me cause you can’t keep up with people like to farm.” is a joke. In fact, I have stopped playing the game because I can’t get any semblance of farming done anymore due to the sheer amount of BOTS and Gold Sellers that plague the game, as the OP stated.
So contrary to your entire reply repertoire, farming ATM in New World is in DIRE NEED of being addressed due to merged servers doubling the amount of players along with bots and gold sellers.

me saying that is my opinion of what the effect of the dimensioning returns on farming would have on an active farmer like myself.
And a farmer who farms a lot would never want diminishing returns. So my assessment is you don’t farm that much as other farmers. Cause if you did, you would be against someone want diminishing returns. In no way was I trying to “slam” anyone. You just unnecessarily got triggered by a innocent response not intended to do so.

please quote me from my posts above where I said diminishing returns should be enacted. I never suggested any specific way of solving the current dilemma in game. I simply stated that your assertion that “normal players” are farming 16 hours a day, all week long is bogus, false, a lie, incorrect.

So limit farming aswell ? Why do we always end up with limiting others what we can afford to do ? if its bot or gold seller yeah it deserve ban but you need more evidence for that. trust you dont want diminishing returns on things like this it just makes people not do what they like.

And if they are an actual person driving their character the whole time, I don’t care how much they farm. Just cause someone farms a lot does not mean they are a gold seller.
I’m glad we agree there shouldn’t be diminishing returns that would penalize legit farmers.
I have not considered the ramifications (if any) to the player base if such a system were to be implemented. I have no opinion pro or con in regards to diminishing returns.

…and we are back to square one.
The crux of the issue is that who you think are “legit farmers” spending 16 hours a day or more, days on end, are in fact not. They are gold sellers sharing an account. No real single person playing the game has the kind of time. Between work, needing to be away for food, away from showering, away for sleep etc, no one has the time to spend the kind of time we are talking about farming. The only way this is accomplished is through account sharing. Which, if I am correct is against the TOS.
And yes those people should be punished.

No, what I said is that if they are actively farming that much, then they are probably a bot and the time farmed by an actual person is exaggerated.
And I work from home and can be on and off farming all day long.
And a stated that I have seen them in game farming for those kinds of hours on end, and they are not bots because I had conversations with them, real conversations not “bot conversations”.
These are shared accounts. IN FACT one specific “player” on my server is always chatty and cool in the morning hours. But when I see them at 3 am (I switched my schedule up to get farming done because its so bad on my server) they would not wave and were less chatty when I whispered them, as if they did not know me.
Fast forward to the next afternoon after I sleep, I see them again and BAM chatty again.
How do you know this as fact? And I’m not suggesting those don’t exist. I hate bots. But the solution to them is not diminishing returns. Which was the topic of this thread.
