Diminishing returns - OPR / Wars -- More CC options

Literally everyone is running Warhammer, even mages, due to the AoE Stuns and staggers.

There needs to be diminishing returns on the same or similar spells, you can literally run onto a point in OPR and be chain stunned, forever, constantly. It is beyond frustrating to play, it isnt rewarding and the only counter play is to do the same thing your self and prey you get your stuns/staggers off first and lock him down.

Simple diminishing return mechanics FULL Duration > Half duration > Quarter duration ? Immune for 15 seconds > Reset.

Bring in some different CC abilities, I am going to reference wow because, frankly it gets stuff right (objectivley, compared to this garbage). Note diminishing returns mentioned above would apply.

  • Frost Nova: Ice gauntlet … Change Ice shower to an AoE Frost nova that is targetable.
  • Horrify: Void gauntlet…Change Petrifying scream to a Horrify affect that renders your character unable to do anyhting for X seconds
  • AoE disorientate: Firestaff…change Incinerate to an AoE disorientate effect.

The Warhammer meta is killing group pvp.

and add friendly fire to the PVP mix and now we have a real tactical fun pvp experience.

I don’t know how CC diminishing returns are not implemented into the game already. It is a staple feature of most MMO’s now a days for obvious reasons. It allows counter play and forces coordination between same team players. Being perma stunned by 3 players with war hammers is just something that shouldn’t happen
