Reminds me of a COD2 custom map server i used to play on. The Black Hats was the name and they were very strict on cheating and stopping disruptive behaviors. They used to make players write a 3 page paper on why they should be unbanned and most of the time those players moved on because it wasnt worth the effort for them.
AGS needs to add that to their appeals workflow lol.
I cannot make up what I do not know. I guess I can be more specific. I woke up, decided to build the Azoth staff because I wanted to generate some Azoth for traveling faster if I want to. Level 30 by the way. Nothing special. Playing on a dead server Ceryneia. Solo PvE. I built the staff, closed one of the level 25 corruption portals which was actually somewhat hard, but doable. Went back to town, bought potions, went to storage, got DCed, and upon login was told I was banned.
I mean, good luck to me too. I’m not losing much so I’ll start over. If I get the account back fine, if not oh well. I’m more interested in discussing the disconnect between AGS and CS that is present in the CS chat, kinda rendering the function useless.
Gotta agree with that. allways good support and even ask if I stream or just enjoy a little chat before “leaving” treat them as humans and you will see you get same support. sadly most people dont.
My issue is that the Live Chat support CS states that they have no contact with the AGS. So if they have no contact with the AGS and do not have the tools to access tickets and such, then how is Live Chat function viable in providing me with the solution?
for me its just funny to hear you got banned by buying pots when all players does it, while others do dupes x1000 and say same stuff as you that they got banned wrong x) so mabye you are the most unluck guy in new world… I dont know.
I think there is something wonky with their ban process at the moment. I watched a twitch stream earlier where the streamer was talking about how he got a perma ban message when he tried to log in.
I don’t know this streamer well and I certainly don’t know what he may or may not have done that deserved and kind of a ban. But it was obvious his bewilderment was genuine.
He said he appealed asking why he was banned and the first response he got was something to the effect “you may get banned if you violate any of the ToS” and they sent him a link to the ToS.
He used up all 5 appeals and they were either unable or unwilling to tell him why specifically his account was banned. The most he got was that it was related to section 3 of the ToS. Section 3 has a lot of things apparently so that didn’t help him much.
Anyone who gets perma banned deserves to know what they did that caused the ban. Seems like such an obvious thing. AGS themselves said mistakes may happen with bans because people make mistakes. I don’t see how someone is supposed to appeal effectively if they don’t know what they are supposed to have done.
If that is really the case, I would like to know regardless. How am I supposed to know I am buying duped items on the trading post? It’s not like I have some forward insight that the items that I am buying are duped. And they’re not labeled “duped” next to the item name.
