So I have to run to the AH or be stocked up on trash gear at all times for when I die? This isnt a survival MMO it just needs a real PvP zone.
Where you fight for glory and PvP exp. They almost had this when Great Cleave PvP was a thing but it turned some people into PvP Deity in like a week so they nerfed it.
Yeah for the record. I too am not a big fan of full loot pvp in my mmorpg. I like it alot in survival games like DayZ and rust, etc. But I don’t love the idea of it in new world.
but that being said. It could have benefits as well. It would lessen the chance of ultra bis geared players hard camping, etc.
But I think a real pvp zone without full loot would still be best.
Its a waste of space on the map why have a zone that will cater to less then 20% of the player base ( and that’s being generous) PVE players like myself will never enter it which are the majority of players by a long shot. its such a waste of a zone.
Just like on OSRS the wild is pretty much dead now because its a PVP only zone and its the same 100 players that are in there, very niche.
I’d totally agree with accept on not dropping any Bind item. Because that could be used as exploit so easily. So dropping partially or full unbind item(s) I’d like it either way.
No, is not double standards, is exactly the same reasoning… the problem is that that in your mind you think that pve are against you… we are not… quite the contrary, I think PvE community would be very happy if both modes (pve and pvp) are kept and balanced separately…
nobody is FORCING YOU AT GUNPOINT to do pve, but you are kind of forced because there aren’t many other ways for you to get what you want…. see the problem?

What you guys are going to do when you have BiS and enough currency? will you stop doing pvp? Not trying to troll you… genuine question.
I ask because I played Tarkov for a while and it seem to me that there are two scenarios where a player gets nothing of value, in terms of items or currency, and they still keep playing… if you are a new player chances are you’ll be clapped 9/10 times and you will get nothing (bare what you can fit in your secure container)…. and if you are a seasoned player you end up with tons and tons of gear and currency…
You miss the point. PvP has very little rewards compared to PvE so PvP players in order get these rewards have to play PvE content.
25 minute m10 expediton pushed to gold gives you more Umbrals than 50 OPR wins in a row. Not to mention the drops you might get that are PoE, unlike every single War or OPR chest.
Is there even a single thing a PvE player needs that is obtained by playing PvP content? Except the Gypsum but then again, 25 minute m10.
Funny thing tho reasonable players want to keep those separate, especially PvP players. Reality is that PvE players are PvE players and PvP players are actually PvX players.
Then again everytime a thread like this pops out the “PvE lords” (not the reasonable people) resurface with the same ol’ bullshit arguments, copy pasted from someone without a second of thought and they derail those threads.
I talk about things like: “yOu hAVe pVP tRAcK”, “pVPeRs aRe 1% oF tHe MmO poPUlaTIon”, etc. Its getting pathetic.
I may not 100% agree with OP but this thread and countless others asking for more PvP content and /or rewards look like this. Yet when PvE thread shows up PvPers either ignore it or just ask “what about pvp?” and get one of the answers I listed above which leads to arguments.
So yeah we may not approve of this kind of approach but I for one understand the contempt and the toxicity that spills from PvP community which is not as small as a lot of people claim to think.
News flash: action combat mmorpg with 3rd person shooting elements don’t have the exact same audience like other MMOs.
Therefore the same, silly arguments about PvP content being doomed to fail are not applicable and the proof is in the pudding. People still play wars (even after all the willy bandainds, 0 overhauls after a year and meta shifts mainly caused by bugs), people still play OPR (with the same map since release), people stormed Great Cleave on every server the moment PvP track was released and still play Arena even tho its a meme on its own.
TRUTH!! Ppl talking about pvp being dead in other MMOs not comparable to NW. NW has a completely unique playerbase and in NW pvp is the glue that holds the game together. Without pvp the whole game dies. Economy dies. M10 dies. Gathering dies.
Pvp is ESSENTIAL for the ecosystem of nw and these toxic PvE Karen gatekeepers who jump in these threads need to f*ck off already

No I’m not… if a PvP zone gets released and exclusive rewards get put in there (which have already been asked in another threads) then PvE players that want that reward will have to do pvp… and that’s what is annoying (and have always annoyed) the pve community.
Maybe an old dog but sorry, that what you call PvX have always been called PvP in mmorpg genre… A PvP server/realm is effectively what you call PvX.
But leaving that aside, yes I understand there are players that enjoy both modes… but I’m quite sure those players are in game doing their thing and don’t complain much? who knows?
The problem is AGS trying to cater to a wide spectrum of players, ranging from “I only do PvE” to “I only do PvP” and everything in between… it just happens that the loudest are us at each extreme

You are right, NW is an unique game… but let’s not forget that is still an mmorpg game where gear and progression matters…
They can easily implement rewards that only matter for PvP. It’s not a ground breaking new feature that will make PvErs cry because they don’t want to do PvP for the rewards. Even though we’re pretty much forced to run mutations if we want to make money and shards.
Why care for the homeless when they’re less than 20% of the population? Why make an entire shelter just for them? Put in real life terms you can see how selfish and weird your argument is
Alrighty then. When sandworm raid is out ags have already confirmed it will have exclusive PvE rewards so the ‘pve players can flex’ that’s what the devs said.
So i guess all the pvp players need to grab their torches and pitchforks and march because pve’ers get rewards exclusive to PvE activities then!!
pvp should have exclusive rewards, the few numbnuts who play PvE only don’t deserve those rewards. MMOrpgs are pvX and pvX players will access everything. Nobody should care if the 5 PvE players get salty about pvp exclusive rewards

PvP and PvX are in no way the same things. There’s no AI in PvP except OPR which is a MOBA-like game mode.
If you play PvE just to get what you need for PvP (unless you’re in a very generous company) effectively you are a “PvX player”. I use the quotation marks for a reason because in this case the only difference between PvX and PvP is preferrence. If someone values rewards and remaining competitive (outside of other ways to get resources and gold) that person needs to make up for the time spent in PvP whilst doing PvE to get what they need. So effectively PvE becomes a chore for a lot of people and that is how PvP players become PvXers.
Sure there are some people who actually are PvXers from the get go but I sincerely doubt there’s a lot of people who enjoy PvE and PvP equally in this game. Both are so very different there’s usually a preferrence.
Beyond that my point remains the same. PvErs time is more valuable than PvPers around here. Rewards and content disproportion is big.
