I think that can be wiped the servers… or better, create new servers… so ppl who wants to start again can play them
You’re assuming this has affected every server to the point of no return. We have no idea what servers are actually hit badly, so would be a terrible idea. if it turns out 1 in 10 servers are affected badly, do the 9 other servers have to surfer?
Also if they decide to wipe only the bad servers, do you think the majority of those players on those servers will come back? I highly doubt it
You have a hard time understanding that this is a sandbox MMO and the economy actually matters for most people and its what they like to do. That portion of people leave and the game dies so your 8 friends can go back to COD. People cant grasp the concept of how bad this shit is, it is probably the worst thing that could have happened to this game.
I said I would be glad to xfer to a NEW server and keep my XP, faction gear gear, and HWM and be happy. I never said a full reset. For the servers not that crippled buy it they an merge them with other servers and if you xfer to those servers you lose your hsit ya. But not your progeres.
And you have a hard time understanding that people value their time differently. The casual player base will not stand for having to re-do everything because some people cheated or exploited a bug. Most of them won’t even know about these problems. They’ll just login one day and wonder why their character is gone or level 1. Then they’ll get a refund via steam and move along.
I never once agreed to a complete nuke of the game unless they do a ff14… the truth is no one knows how deep these bugs go. Its not like its jsut the dupe bug, there are many many issues going on right now that we dont know aout and how much needs to be done to get this shit intact and running how it is supposed too. Its like your in a bubble… 90% of servers only run one outpost rush a day people xferring left and right with tons of shit and milking the player base beforehand. Like its an entire shit show, you got bots running around mining everything cornering the market… like stop using emotions and go look at the big picture.
Ya man people just dont know… they in a fuckin bubble and screaming ME ME ME… its broken broken lmao
I have never touched eso, but yes if I had to start all over again I wouldn’t play. I am not interested in the 1-60 anymore I already went through it. I have tons of other games I could play. Its the same reason I refuse to play games like Rust and Ark. I don’t like to have to start over due to being wiped.
No it’s a fair one I mean the lvling phase of any game if you’ve done it before that’s that like, there’s nothing wonderous about that stage anymore but everything else is a competitive experience and if everything is set at zero then that’s all fine in my book.
You said you’ve done 300 hrs of “work”, well it’s not meant to be work, the crafting levels, ingredient acquiring and whatever are meant to be part of the competition and if I had it my way I’d wipe our entire inventories and storages and reduce quantity drops by at least 75% as crafting under lvl 150 is almost irrelavent and I hate seeing that many items go to waste but anyway!..if everyone starts from square one the contest starts again, it’s not work, fuk the lvling phase ofc.
Atm your attitude is just promoting a lose lose situation, get on your next game if that’s the case.
I don’t care losing all my items. but my skills and level is a whole another story, spent lot of time gathering and crafting for days playing 3/4 hours after a harsh day at work.
But it is a lose lose situation and arguing other wise is dumb. Whether they do it or not they will lose player a or player b. And it was work. I had to buckle down to keep up with other players. Doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, but doesn’t mean I want to do it again. You have to “work” to stay competitive. Just like in real life, if you “work” harder then the other guy you get farther. It is “work” no matter how you look at it.
I’m against total wipes or complete roll backs. I’d be fine rolling back 2-3 weeks where most of the major stuff has been happening. But not all the way back.
I’m almost 200 in all professions.
Doesn’t matter.
I’m not giving my time and effort up for cheaters.
But you are either way. You grinded honestly they didnt competition is fucked up. Either way you lose, but in the long run a reset could save the game I am not sure certain servers can survive this tbh. WE will see in the end though.
If they reset it’s the bail on the coffin. They need to spend resources to catch cheaters not punish me.
That’s the only thing keeping me from refunding right now. All the time I have invested. Granted most was in the first 4 weeks, I had hoped they would fix bugs but seemingly the only thing the devs do is make this game worse at every turn. I have hundreds of hours in, really don’t want to see that lost in the event they pull their heads out of you know where.
Take the game down. Spend 3 months fixing all the issues. “A Realm Reborn” this game so you can actually turn a profit. I’m not gonna buy from your store when the game is broken af.
There is numerous ways they could fix it, it just depends on the player base and their patience as to what route they take. Could make a better set other than the ones that been duped. CHange the ingredients on the current ones. I mean they could be tricky with it im sure but how muhc time is it worth? Comparing to new servers and inventory wipes.
If someone is honestly this much of a griefer to think that server resets will fix a game, maybe this type of pvp/faction game is not the right cup of tea for you.
mmo games are successful, above all, for only 1 reason: stability
Take WoW. WoW could for a long time do whatever it wanted, even when it didn’t make sense, because the experience, however horrible, was a predictable one.
If you take stability out of game by shutting down tradehouses and resetting whole server’s data whenever you feel like it or someone cries, you destroy that game…very, very fast.
