I like many of these changes and some of them are a step in the right direction. What we need is diminishing returns on CC effects, the ability to see what are allies and enemies AOE effects. Speeding up the Warhammer attack/abilities animations as they are the slowest in the game and you can’t hit anyone with them. Increasing the lunge of the GA to be on par with other melee weapons, increase the self heal of the GA as right now the weapon does almost no self healing.

They should also bring back the sun for path of destiny as if they bring in diminishing returns for CC then it will be fine. VG needs a serious nerf, it can self heal so much that it can do more healing than a healer, it can do more damage than any melee weapon, it has the strongest CC/debuff in the game while being able to take down entire groups of people solo within a second or two.

GA and WH both get nerfed. Void G and Rapier untouched. no wonder your playerbase is at 5%. Do any of the devs even PVP? How can I express myself without getting banned…

Not sure why some ppl upset. This is only the first part of PTR changes. There will be more just as last month.

That would be the rubber banding. Sometimes you’d go to dodge towards an enemy, they’d ice shower, you’d appear to have gone through the ice show, only to be rubberbanded back.

Wonder if this will have any impact on the movement bug (which wasn’t mentioned ><). Many people hypothesized that the movement bug occurs when trying to dodge out of a root, or if rooted while channelling something (block for example).

because they have set a trend for ignoring their player base entirely for these patches, and they havent figured out that its that trend, among other things, that is making people drop like flys from this game.

90% of OPR matches are over within 10 minutes because ZERO BALANCING. One team often gets all the ranged, the other gets all the heavy armour players and healers, guess which team steamrolls the other?

What, you feel powerfull running after an archer for 5 minutes until you catch him? Filthy casual, go play a range build.

Everyone has been complaining about scoring in OPR whenever a thread pops up about it. There should be points awarded for capturing/defending/contesting a cap. Tanks will still not get really anything except maybe a few more points off damage now.

Rewarding Umbral Shards for OPR is the best thing I had read, to date, in any of the patch notes. Full stop.

like when GA got “nerfed” when the heavy attack would hit twice.

No one else mentioned this. Every time the fix a single issue, they end up generating 10 more, thus how the “known bugs” page got to like 10 pages long so far. Why do people not think this patch will be broken on arrival? Did no one play the last PTR? Did they not see what happened when that patch was applied to live? I can’t imagine a larger dumpster fire then last patch, but this one might just prove me wrong.

Shards from OPR finally… 80% of feedbacks and the most important bugs are on the list but, It might be to late to save game.

With the attack canceling in the next PTR, Riposte will lose a lot of power. To be honest, I don’t see how people have so many problems with Riposte right now - if the Riposte fails they are left pretty vulnerable to attack. I can only imagine people just spam auto attack into people far too much and are paying for it.

I think the mobility of the rapier very necessary at close distances. If anything, Fleche needs a bit of attention. This is the main ability that is giving way too much defensive kiting by opening up large gaps. The primary purpose of Fleche should be to put you behind an opponent, not to disengage and launch you far outside of range.

The rapier appears to be meant to have incredible CQC proficiency, considering the incredibly short range of its attacks, but instead it is being used as a purely defensive secondary to kite all over the place. This needs to be reined in a bit.

I’m not a GA player, but I got to say, I don’t see why they needed to nerf the GravWell.
Someone puts GravWell on me, I press Fleche or Evade or Riposte or IceTomb…

I really like that they implemented the Umbrals for OPR.

I really like that they finally fixed the two broken and completely exploited Abilities of IG, even thou I wouldn’t have minded the extra damage stacks of Storm to only apply to the IG. The Damage Transfer to other weapons was what really fucked things over. I hope this doesn’t nerf IG too much like GA.

I don’t get why they claim to have made three mayor reworks on the musket, 2 fixes, 1 rework… Not that much has changed on that front.

Well they fixed some of the important stuff, some things will hopefully be added with the second patch of PTR, especially in regards to Selfheal (Lifestaff) and Voidgauntlet.

Ice spike was completely ruined. it’s literally what made the build good as scream double exploded orb icespike was the main combo. Now icespike is useless and VG/IG will no longer be meta.
