Ha I’m already mad lol. The hardest weapon to use besides post nerf GA was only viable because or an exploit… Can I borrow some rope plz.
also feed gold seller 1,000,000 coins is like 700-900 irl dollars.
Yeah in most cases it’s a volume thing, but I can’t exactly say I was shocked when I noticed it, and then tested to see if the game would allow for listings at a loss.
Over half a century on a planet filled with imbeciles has left me jaded, and unshockable.
Didn’t see anything about limiting war/invasion kicking. Guess I’ll go back to playing something else.
No I dont use 14 day listing. You can lose money. It will warn you before you post before you list it. Im talking things you may not have many of and dont want them like I dunno a craft mod or maybe you dont need some tannin that you picked up from a chest or something. You only have like 20 of them or maybe even one or a few, but on the TP they are worth .01. In that situation the listing fee is more than the .20 you would get.
For something like that I would like a vendor. If its not something I want to use then I want to get rid of it. Option is to lose money, store it until you have like 100’s or 1000’s of them, or throw it away. I throw crap away all the time because its not worth selling and I dont want to store crap I dont want.
I just looked for example to give you real numbers. I have 18 of a craft mod in my storage. They are on the TP for .01. To list 18 of them for 1 day would cost me .51. I would lose money. In this case an NPC vendor would be perfect. Even if it gave me .01 a piece or .10 a piece I dont care. I didnt throw them away and I dont have to store them.
I mean i make 6-12k a day depending on how I feel like farming that day. Im not new to the TP or making money. I am almost half way to gold cap. Trust me. You can lose money on the TP.
For all that small stuff I let it build up to like 500 and sell it off global chat. No taxes and hook some people up for cheap and clears my stuff.
I also hoard craft mods >:)
Thats cool that you do that but I cant be bothered with that. I do a lot of stuff with harvesting, crafting, selling, and storage. I cant be bothered to save that crap all up somewhere cluttering up my sheds only to weeks or months later ask if anyone wants it for basically free. I would rather just dump it on an NPC vendor like every other MMO on the market.
Good that you can buy them in the faction shop but again with these stupid timegates. The vast majority of players hate timegates on orbs but AGS is stubbornly sticking to this flawed concept. Baffling…
The ground is free lol ^-^
I don’t like NPC vendors because then the market is set. I really really enjoy how each server’s market is slightly different and prices are truly dependent on player need.
Don’t forget you can also upconvert things
I didn’t see in the patch notes that they were going to fix the bug in Brightwood about not letting us level up our faction reputation… I really hope they fix that because I was purple then yellow now back to purple and now it’s bugged.
Its not going to kill the market to give garbage no one wants a 10 cent value. Markets really arent as different as you describe I bet. For instance orichalcum ore is orichalcum ore. Getting the 10000th dead dryad whatever craft mod is worthless to everyone.
Possibly. Depends on each servers supply and demand.
What an NPC vendor is proven to do though is set a baseline that never changes. So if you have something worth .10 on the TP then people scale from that and it rarely moves. I’m open to a hybrid system though!
The rarity of “legendary” crafting items is irrelevant when there’s a daily cooldown on the thing they’re used for. I love the aptitude system. It’d be OK if they tuned the volume of these items per aptitude level.
Housing Tax
For full context, once this patch goes to live, the following conditions will be applied: as a make-good for the players impacted by the server clock issues experienced in Nov 2021, we reduced housing tax costs for all players by 90% based on the tax % set by companies that owned the territories. We communicated with that change that we would revert those tax breaks in a future update (which is now). In the time the tax break has been active however, it has brought to light an imbalance in wealth disparity which was punishing for home owners, and as such, have decided to tighten the housing tax band. We will continue to examine player reception and data around this issue. We are adjusting them going forward to be more fair for home owners and companies. We are focused on evaluating and continually tuning the overall wealth distribution and impact of the territory tax system.
In this patch we have:
- Reverted the make good 90% housing tax reduction (will impact the Live servers only)
- Updated housing tax minimum band to 2.5% down from 5%
- Updated housing tax maximum band to 10% down from 20%
- Updating default housing tax to 5% down from 10%
This will drive casual players out of the game. Spending all your time doing Faction missions (3 for bonus) or competing with bots for limited resource (and players if you can as most, only play during primetime) is going to massively hit those players with minimal wealth. (Will also drive some to goldsellers as said above)
People have had their servers merged and their towns have changed landlords - people couldnt afford to relocate - so are effectively stuck, you may wish to consider this.
Some people don’t read these forum - there is nothing in game explaining to new or unaware folk that the tax they are paying is heavily reduced - so happy housing tax is affordable they have bought more homes.
My suggestion - go from 90% to 45% and then to 0 a month later and put a notification in the housing UI. (You will then lose less players)
Changing the tax bands will not lessen the cash loss sufficiently

One of the major complaints from the more casual playerbase is how tedious traveling is in New World. Now they finally introduced a system that makes it a least a little bit more accessible to use the fast travel system and this patch they want to take that away again.
Really get the feeling that these developers don’t really understand that fun should be prioritised over some internal balancing. Like has anybody ever seen a single complaint that Azoth Vials were so cheap on the market or that they have a ton more now?
Dear developers, when will you fix the half-year bug with the GENERAL GAME CHAT IN THE DANGE (OUTPOST) ??? If you were in a dungeon or are in a dungeon (outpost), you cannot write to the general chat of the game, finally fix this nonsense.
Thats a great idea actually! Scale the rewards up based on how many levels of aptitude you have.
Not saying you get your 40th aptitude and receive 45 tolvium but have something like this:
0-3 Aptitude: Normal drop rate of mods/resources and 1-2 azoth vials
3-5 Aptitude: Normal drop rate of mods/resources and 2-3 azoth vials
5-10 Aptitude: Slightly higher drop rate and 3-5 azoth vials
{Should be noted that each tick would still scale for the individual aptitude level as it does now}
Once you hit 10 aptitude you have maxed out the reward structure and can now receive alot of azoth/resources for the work you put in.
exactly. and they made defending wars wayyyyyyyyyy to easy. spawning on the capture point. What the heck is that???!
Every single player using bow should be mad about his weapon getting nerfed or “fixnerfed” every single patch while reading FS and IG crying about buffing his dominant dps meta class now
