I guess it was a pipe dream to have orbs be removed, remove the timegate, or allow it to be purchasable more often than one per week. (Once a day).
At this point I think it’s pride stopping meaningful change. (No my idea is great but we can compromise). That’s not heathy development.
I still 100% think 595-599 gear should be upgraded with umbral shards to legendary and roll a random perk. It would create a heathy crafting environment and economy.
The rest seems like good changes except, the movement speed bug is still in the game
@coinneach People don’t play videogames to get through it. They play videogames to have fun. The expertise grind should be fun and give progression.
@Kurtex The grind for a good legendary is entirely based around luck. There is no linear method of getting legendary gear. People want to log in and make progress towards their goals.
I agree. They added tons of tolv and cinnabar drops from aptitude chests because the price of them would have skyrocketed after merges. I think that they should have reworked the gleamite meteors to drop metal nodes. The aptitude boxes should drop resources like ingots, with the epic aptitude chest giving 1-2 tolv/cinnabar each. Once again, they made a short-sighted decision that ruined a great money-making method for people.
Effort and progression has to be evened out with reward. There are practically no power spikes post level 60. The perks system is great for encouraging build creativity, but locked behind a huge grind. My main beef with the grind is around the time-gated expertise system, and luck based progression.
However, your points about the aptitude boxes, I agree with. The effort/reward ratio for farming tolv/cinnabar and T5 legendaries was at a great place, its a shame that it is gone.
Something feels broke need to fix it.
I cry out for help, do they listen?
I’m a be alone until its finished.
This is the part where I tell you I’m fine but I’m lying, I just don’t want you to worry.
This is the part where I take all my feeling and hide them cause I don’t want nobody to NERF me!
Majority of rewards get scrapped not a huge loss. The real expense is when you have a few sets of gear obviously bound that all take damage same with weapons. It’s a change that will have zero impact on the actual complaints.
Is it bad no, but it completely falls short of addressing the main complaint, as stated it’s entirely tone def.
It’s as tone def as the travel cost change. The distance is not the largest contributor to extremely high azoth travel cost, so the change does very little for the actual complaint.
The problem is that things get so low on the TP that listing certain things costs more money than you would make. What happens then is stuff just gets thrown out in a doodoo bag on the ground.
Having an NPC in that scenario would be a good thing.
If you are then it’s very pricy. If you use a 1 day or three day listing it’s reasonable. Not to mention I don’t think you can make negative money in the TP if you use those two.
Also pretty sure you can’t lose money on a 14 day listing it will just be a small profit margin.
You can actually list things at a loss, the game warns you with a pop up, but if you do the research there are still countless listings that are listed resulting in a loss right out of the gate.
Yeah in most cases it’s a volume thing, but I can’t exactly say I was shocked when I noticed it, and then tested to see if the game would allow for listings at a loss.
Over half a century on a planet filled with imbeciles has left me jaded, and unshockable.
No I dont use 14 day listing. You can lose money. It will warn you before you post before you list it. Im talking things you may not have many of and dont want them like I dunno a craft mod or maybe you dont need some tannin that you picked up from a chest or something. You only have like 20 of them or maybe even one or a few, but on the TP they are worth .01. In that situation the listing fee is more than the .20 you would get.
For something like that I would like a vendor. If its not something I want to use then I want to get rid of it. Option is to lose money, store it until you have like 100’s or 1000’s of them, or throw it away. I throw crap away all the time because its not worth selling and I dont want to store crap I dont want.
I just looked for example to give you real numbers. I have 18 of a craft mod in my storage. They are on the TP for .01. To list 18 of them for 1 day would cost me .51. I would lose money. In this case an NPC vendor would be perfect. Even if it gave me .01 a piece or .10 a piece I dont care. I didnt throw them away and I dont have to store them.
I mean i make 6-12k a day depending on how I feel like farming that day. Im not new to the TP or making money. I am almost half way to gold cap. Trust me. You can lose money on the TP.
Thats cool that you do that but I cant be bothered with that. I do a lot of stuff with harvesting, crafting, selling, and storage. I cant be bothered to save that crap all up somewhere cluttering up my sheds only to weeks or months later ask if anyone wants it for basically free. I would rather just dump it on an NPC vendor like every other MMO on the market.
