orb cool downs are a gate. It is a gate for those with less time to play, itâs a gate for those hard pushing. Itâs a gate on endgame content which shouldnât be the case. Drop rates already do that.
I think thatâs a good suggestion, but for now lets see what happens.
I know for a fact though, with the current scaling, even without orbs M10 farming wonât happen for a while and only for the top-end of players.
Itâs a gate to create valueâŚso whatâs your argument here? You also know you get around ~1k gold a run right? People can speed run 10-12min. You thought bots chopping wood/ores were a problemâŚ? Hah!
Also with the reduction in key cost and the ability to buy with faction tokens the cost of âbuying a runâ is likely to drop significantly. Going forward, you are going to get more runs of your favorite Expedition and with any luck at all the legendary drop rates will make it so you donât need to run Gen/Laz 100+ times to get an item you are after.

Can you confirm that the changes to Gypsum Orb cooldowns being removed only affects the crafting of the orb itself and not the acquisition of the Gyspum drops? As in, am I still limited to acquiring 2 Ruby Gypsums via OPR per day regardless of the Orb crafting cooldown changes?
The worst for me is farming the faction tokens. I donât really push pvp missions so itâs an absolute chore to farm even the 30k or so weekly i need.
They should have just made it so you buy 1 Mutation orb a week, but that orb is yours and stays on you. Everyone in your party has to have an orb and the lowest tier is the Mutation level you run.
Itâs not about them not seeing it, with the current design you cannot just rip them out.
They would need to re-balance the coin and drops, otherwise weâll all just run 10 Gen runs a day every day pumping legendary items into the market and coin into our pockets. Since they arenât going to rebalance drops this PTR cycle, reduction in cost is the best we getting.
Reducing the cost and making them available from faction tokens is at least a step in the right direction.
How did they figure out people were soloing these? They donât play the game, so who snitched? Guess getting one shotted by the anchor throw wasnât bad enough. Anyone playing the PTR know if they added 20 musketeers to Sirens?
What value? Dungeons are bad for drops. I and others have run them hundreds of times and havenât even gotten the drops we need. Some people have never even seen items like Will of the Ancients. I havenât even seen a smooth bone ring.
If they add value then it should have decent drop rates. I am not saying it should drop instantly but you shouldnât have to run weeks worth of dungeons to even see an item you are looking for.
