Issue that occurred: Spent part of today up in Mourningdale gathering/skinning and crafting silk gloves in bulk. I had at least two pieces, possibly more, of my PvE gear (+luck beasthunter helmet, and +luck beasthunter chest) vanish when I logged back in just now. I haven’t been watching my gear closely all day so I’m not positive that it happened between my latest login and now, but at some point just those two pieces just vanished if not more than those two. I already checked every single settlement storage and they’re not there either. I had all my PvE gear salvage locked, only thing I can think of is that I was spamming quick-salvage during my crafting and it somehow still salvaged them.
Edit: Looks like I also lost my boots, not sure what they were - not beasthunter.
Pro tip. Put everything you don’t want to salvage in your storage, put all the stuff you do want to salvage in your inventory.
Stand well back from your storage, salvage items in your inventory SLOWLY. Don’t spam click, do one a second, just count elephants or Mississippi’s or something.
LyshineUI, the user interface “gem” in Lumberyard is unfit for purpose and can not handle spam clicking or lag in the slightest (dupe exploits anyone?) So you have to treat it with kid gloves so it doesn’t freak out and delete shit you want.
This has been a thing since at least the second Beta, as thats when I accidentally spam clicked Ctrl+S on a bunch of trash weapons and realised it had salvaged a bunch of armor too without me clicking on it.
Hey thanks good advice, yeah I thought I’d be safe with the salvage lock but I probably should have known better. Did some poking around for other people who had this issue looks like thats most likely what happened. Expensive lesson but I suppose it could’ve been worse.
