Do Armor and Weapon Perks Stack?

I have looked around but can’t seem to find an answer to whether or not perks stack. Anyone know?

anyone?

trying to find out the same thing. Did you find out?

This was tested in beta by me and another player, when we were trying to figure out the effect of armor mitigation.

I still have the armor mitigation charts laying around somewhere, they were a mess because there were too many variables, and amazon baked too much secret sauce into the forumla to get an exact picture… anyway, what does this have to do with your question.

we tested perks and gems.

As far as we could tell, anything with the SAME NAME and SAME VALUE won’t stack. meaning if I have a socketed gem called “amber gem” with grants 2.5% something, and another socketed gem on another peice of equipment called an “amber gem” that grants the same 2.5% something, it won’t stack. However if the second amber gem granted 2.75% they would stack. same for perks, if the perk has the same name and value as the other perk with the name and value you’ll only get the effect of the one perk. but if they have different names (but same effects) or different %% effect but the same name, the value seemed to stack.

so take it or leave it, at some point in beta that’s how it seemed to work. haven’t tested it in live yet.

Thank you this helps a lot  Happy gaming

As far as offensive perks go. I have no idea and haven’t had a chance to test.
Though when coming from farming perks I know they do stack. As someone with a mining luck set and a standard loot luck set. I have seen a significant increase in rare drops from both due to the luck set bonuses from both.

I forget what my mining luck set is currently at but my normal loot luck set is currently sitting at 19.4% (I still need two bags with luck on them to bump that up).

I thought this too. I got a whole set of gear with reinforced harvesting luck ((not same values however) ) but it didn’t seem to help. I was thinking same named perks don’t stack. However, there is one quest item that makes me reconsider. Weaver’s Ring. It has double Luck perks with both the same value. Why would this be a reward quest? The devs would hopefully realize that they are doubling the perk even though it doesn’t stack.

Did some digging: NWDB shows the max number of stacks you can have for a perk. It doesn’t show this for every perk, which makes me think that offensive perks are unique (i.e. don’t stack). image

As far as I read luck all stacks its just the combat stuff that doesn’t. For example as a crafter you get +2 expertise on all 5 bits of gear and it stacks.

oh thats cool ty

This is actually good to know as you can get one but of 5% luck on each bit of gear and only need one set of gathering gear.

Some do and some don’t NWDB has a list of many, but it is not complete.

What if an item have 2 luck buff on it with the same name / effect?

Damn sure i got a ring yesterday with 1.6% luck from chest and monster times 2!

Ring.
15 Con (HP buff).
1.6% Luck.
1.6% Luck.

Ability perks - no
Some perks - yes
Refresh, keen, etc

The generic luck stat doesn’t affect gathering

So I just had a 2nd armor piece crafted and it got crippling reap on it. Would this be an ability perk meaning they do not stack?

Has this been tested? It would make sense if these types of perks didn’t stack I just wanted to be sure.
