With how active the forums are with players of the game, how many posts actually have proof that mods or dev’s are looking at what their community is saying and thinks. On general discussion in the first maybe 50 posts there are 3-5 with responses from community mods.
i mean there are a LOT of posts.
i wouldnt expect the 5-10 man CM team to be able to go through all of that besides when they get @ ed and even then they most likely wont respond.
addtionally a lot of people dont check for duplicate post and put posts in random incorrect sub forums so its a lot for any team regardless if its amazon.
as to what they respond to it seems they are VERY careful to avoid anything thats going to cause a lot of controversy and they will never individually take a stance unless they get permission to do so.
If they start reading some, they’ll get discouraged from how shit the game has gotten with bugs\dupes and they’ll quit - hence why I think they probably dont read them - Ignorance is Bliss
I’d say they do judging by how fast some topics get deleted.

They said they use AI to scrape the forums in the dev interview and figure out what the hot topics are. So not really. They just pay attention to whatever their AI says is important.

Im mean there is a thread a guy started to complain about people crying about the game. Inside thread there is a community manager saying thanks they are always looking for ways to improve the game and he will pass information along to the developers.
Im just floored by this. How is this even possible?

they definitely delete discussion threads tho. i just noticed a thread complaining about the down time planning is just gone
im just trying to find out about this 2 day ban stuff and dupe items or something. i got a random 2 day ban that turned into a 6 day ban and i was never told why even after i appealed. idk whats going on lol

We absolutely do try to look at most posts. Alot of posts are with similar topics or topics that we don’t have any new information to share. Posts will always slip through and we are trying to respond to more, even just to say that we saw it and will let the dev team know.

You do understand that the people who moderate the forums and also work on the game are two different groups of people. One group mods the forums where most of the player base comes to complain about how they feel they were shafted. The other half complains about not playing or a dead game while they still secretly play.
The actual devs of the game have other problems to worry about. The people who mod the forums use bots to look for useful topics to make sure it’s the correct information. Otherwise they do browse and keep tabs on things just like the above mod posted.

There are actually quite a few groups here on the forums in play…
You have the CMs, the community managers, we are the messengars between the devs and the players. We gather feedback and share what information we can. We do some slight moderation when certain players are getting extra mean.
You have the Mod team which deals solely with moderation.
The CSs, the customer support, who help answer problems and bugs.
We also have the devs pop in occasionally AND there is an AI system of sorts with the flagging. So… even then, if a post is getting bombarded with flags, it will be removed that way too.

So if all these groups are looking at the boards intently, why haven’t any of the “GROUPS” fixed the bow. If you don’t understand then maybe you should “READ” your own forums.
Because none of those groups are devs and trust me when I say, you wouldn’t want us trying to fix anything in game. And the devs that do find the time to hop in for a minute may not even have anything to do with balance or weapons.
But the rest of us DO read, compile and bring that information to the team where it would matter most. So. We have taken the feedback and brought it to the right devs. Changes like this sadly arn’t possible to just be changed overnight. There is a priority list that they are working through and that is even after the figure out a change if that is what they decide on.
