Do Gems placed on Armor pieces stack?

For instance. If I have a gem that gives me 1.5% physical damage absorb on 3 pieces of armor, do I really have 4.5% physical damage absorb?

Yes they stack, with 12.5% being armor and a possible 7.5 with the right jewelry.
