First i wanna start with the trophies. The drop rate has been insane with rare materials: Tolvium and cinnabar drops every 5 ores seems like and not only drops a little, but a bunch, and im guessing is even easier on skinning, so pretty much luck trophies are worthless (specially with the lvl 200+ which rewards even more of this)
Why not give trophies a yield buff, so they can become actually useful? Something that can increase it uses other than just increasing the chances of getting something you get almost everytime w/o trophies
Works are another part of the job: With the amount of 590 gear that drops in expeditions as well as almost-BIS drops and quests from brimstone sands, seems like there are so little combinations that can surpass drops, so working over 200 to craft 590-600 gear seems useless, why not increase the range? what about 590-625 or something crazy that could actually give some value to crafting?
yeah and i understand that, is just some kind of fix to make them actually useful, cause luck currently in stuff like mining skinning or harvesting is useless
i know, not all the drops from expeditions are bis, but they are close and not by a long, so my qustion is, specially in fresh servers, do people really wanna level up armoring other than bags just to gamble their way up to a bis or is it better to just stick with a decent drop that. might not be bis, but at least is useful for wars and stuff (specially when you have 25 daily entries to any expedition).
Don’t get me wrong, you can get some really solid pieces. However, they are only stepping stones.
You still need certain weapon perks, that you can’t get as named drops.
Ultimately, pvp is the end game. PvP determines the overall value of crafting on New World.
I am 4 days into fresh start, and am about to hit 60. My plan is to grab starting gear from Brimstone quests, then camp dungeons for gear and expertise bumps. However, they are only stepping stones…starter gear.
I fully intend on going for cooking, engineering, and jewlery as my first 3 full 595-600 crafting. (Cooking obviously just being max yield, and not GS)
Crafting is still going to be insanely profitable for crafters. Will it be as profitable as it was a year ago? Naw, but not because of dungeon gear. Primarily because of scarabs and timeless shards, which we didn’t have a year ago.
If anything they should look more at the gear in itself since theres multiple tiers of things like this in the game i feel like they should have gathering tier pieces. have tier 1 have the luck perk(400gs) have tier 2 gear have luck and yield(500)gs and maybe have a high tier 3 set that can be 590+ and when upgraded to 600 is legendary and has the luck, yield, and maybe burden. just some food for thought in regards to gathering professions
