Do the devs/CMs actually realize that 99% of the playerbase has quit? Honest question

Stupid question :slight_smile: 1 gyps from OPR is impossible guess, but finding 5 ppl to do dungeon will be no problem u have keys i fraction guy. If u will buy it for 425 gold and u will not take a fee for sure u will find 5 :slight_smile:

Its not that they don’t focus on it. They actually do. They are making changes that have been pain points for people. AGS is just too slow to change. Their mindset is still stuck in “how do we slow progress to make them have to play longer” instead of “what can we put in the game that people will find fun and want to play for a long time.”

It takes them months to change an obviously bad system and even when they do they try to just slightly tweak what’s bad instead of just removing what’s bad. For instance dungeon orbs. Nobody wants these things except for the people that wanted to make gold off of them. After many months they reduced the material cost. Then they reduced the cooldown timers. Then they added them to faction vendor. Then they reduced cooldown timers again. In the summer they will be changed to be something else and not require them to do dungeons.

Why do this? Why waste over 6 months of time of people quitting over them and waste development time every month on them? They could have just removed them 4 months ago and been done with them. Stupid waste of time and resources. Many players lost. All because they were worried “but but but people will be done in a week.” Well now they are no longer here because they couldn’t play what they wanted to play.

Same babying with the tax system. Same babying with the azoth travel system. Even more babying with the crafting system. Same babying with the expertise system. Just figure out the pain points and get rid of shit people don’t like. Stop being so stubborn and make the changes that need to be made. Stop trying to figure out what people will “live with.” We don’t want to compromise and “live with” anything. We want to play a fun game that isn’t obviously just here to disrespect our time.

Sad bro … I don’t understand when they have not made just 6 servers for 2k players … I think they must be a reason, which they can’t solve for now.

Back up a second @Lord_Von_Darling .AGS has business leadership, marketing, publishing, and development groups (and others) Development has developers and leaders.

Do you think all AGS are developers?! I was speaking to dev leadership in the AGS studio tied to New World (they have different studio groups, btw). Not the developers doing the work.

The forums have been loud and clear about what makes people unhappy.

People just want the game to work as intended and are willing to compromise on not receiving new content. If this new patch does not fix combat lag stutters and failed weapon ques… i (and I’m sure many others) just can’t anymore.

It is already a battle royale, its just that the storm circle is the huge grind, that most people cant get out of fast enough before being eliminated from the game

Ehhh so has the population decreased, yes… but stop focusing so much on these specific peak concurrent stats. NW does not have “28k players” right now… it has 28k people who are all logged on at the same time at the peak time of day. To create that statistic, there are many more actual players of the game.

Yeah. I don’t get how Peak vs Active is difficult to understand. It’s even more frightening to look at that loss though. From the 4.5 million copies sold (VG Insights October 21) to now, which might be 100k. MMO-population has it at 150k, but that seems optimistic. Still you figure at least 4x peak maybe?

Also, even if 50% of the 4.5 million were bots, it’s a crazy loss of active players.

You can not kill that which is already dead.

if you want to compare, you have to take the playercount 6 months into NW life cycle, take wait for LA to reach the same point, and take the player count 6 months into LA life cycle, then compare.

Improving the game is your priority then how about making the biggest issue that led thousands of player to quit your number one priority? Its been MONTHS since the desync and lag have made wars and opr frustrating and almost unplayable.

New shiny expedition and weapon are cool but what do you think will happen when the few players that’ll come back to try those will start experiencing the same ( probably worse ) desync and lag they experienced months ago that made them quit?
You tell me.

I for sure am not coming back for the new expedition because i couldnt care less about new world’s pve; the new weapon could get me back but when i think about what i wrote above it just becomes a big NOPE.
Im saying why i quit and why i wont come back and im sorry if im being harsh but seeing a game with such potential ruined by bad management just grinds my gears wrong.
