In Luxendra’s defense, working with Developer’s in itself is difficult and most Developer’s do give answers, they just do not always give deadlines. I work for a software company and sometimes when I ask my Developer a question, I get the yes, that can be done. My follow up question is when will it be done? My Developer then lets me know that it will be done after they finish the other 200 things they are working on implementing.
In the Communities’ defense, this type of stuff always happens with big title games, and sadly, the developers are never prepared. In MMORPG history, this is the period that will either make you or break you. What you do moving forward will either fester a large fan base or destroy your base. Before you do it, freebies are generous but often times will not keep a base, like the fan base in tact. There are two games that I often compare this game too, I will not name them, but I can honestly tell you that both games have pets and mounts, one even has ships. Seeing as this game does not have this, it would be strongly advisable to start tackling some problems you do have control over, like hiring some folks on each server to monitor chat for gold sellers and mass ban them quickly. Make transfers only able to be done by signing up in a forum through account on website and only if they are logged out of their characters. This way they cannot exploit it, this problem should have been done 1 hour after the bug was discovered.
its not annoying at all. People used to find it themself. they dont want anything different. so no. its a choice. patchnotes open or closed. it keeps from making meta based on patch notes
its 100% because one they were told not to say it or two they didnt have a conversation. so im guessing they got the ole “ooooh sorry that’s gonna be about three weeks before we can help” as they rub there nipples ( damn south park future telling poor companies policies) these guys need to be micromanaged at this point
