Does anyone else miss how cheap it used to be to get to 620?

It takes two m8’s to 625 a piece from 600 - 625.

The mutation level rewards were increased at lower levels making them actually viable to run instead of m9/m10 or waste your time.

It’s not that bad honestly.

You get significantly more at every M level so you can actually climb the mutation ladder instead of start m8 and then spam m10’s forever.

It’s actually worth it to run m6+

I miss the way combat breakdown with colored numbers strengths and weakness on mobs too.

Its an old mmorpg dev trick since the early days of the genre…
They stretch grinds to create the illusion of more gameplay hours and content.
You’ll never go back to fast grind gear in this game, as it has adopted the same end game formula as wow. But some games do easy come easy go and have unrepairable gear. But this can be offputting to players.

This response was my favourite :+1:

I think they recently posted in another thread they were going to revisit this change no? Something about adjusting the scaling so it’s not as front loaded as it currently is.

I don’t like any of the dungeon resist/weakness nerfs or that 620 crap.

No, I do not.

They want you to have over 1 million umbrals in your inventory to prepare for the next GS increase.

They are letting us know now that PVP will never be a viable way to get there,
and that anybody that doesn’t spam M10’s for the next year solid will be left behind
when the time to increase GS comes.

Would love to see an official statement where this was said

Look no further, I just said it, officially!

No idea. I ignored mutations until group finder got added.

wasn’t here for it but i have no intention of spamming mutations. outside of the first couple of expeditions at launch i haven’t set foot in one since and i have no desire to do so.

i reckon if they do add raids, they’ll frontload it into those instead in an effort to get participation out of it. but i’ve no intention of doing those either.

I agree, testing new gear or a new build requires a lot of shards now.

I logged in yesterday, found an M1 Ennead group looking for a healer,
threw on my 620+ gear, healed the first couple of encounters,
and logged out of the game.

Terrible change, yes.

Made me quit the game pretty much
as PvP’er I just don’t wanna do it, so I stopped playing all together

Yup…loved it how it was before.

Current system is absolute ass. I hate doing muts, but it’s the only way to get decent shards.

Spending hours just to bronze a handfull with randoms, just to upgrade 1 or 2 pieces.

HATE IT

Easily the worst change they’ve made.

The only update that has made me lose motivation to play the game.

Went to messing with fresh start, instead of legacy…just to take a break from the frustration.

I prefer pvp…screw mutations…

The system sucks, I’m not even bothering.
I’ll probably park my character until we get a level increase.
Maybe log in for a bit, AFK’ish a couple of OPR’s and chop a few trees for gypsum, plod away at crafting. Screw the rest of end game though, don’t have the motivation or find it fun.
