Does anyone else miss how cheap it used to be to get to 620?

I don’t like any of the dungeon resist/weakness nerfs or that 620 crap.

No, I do not.

They want you to have over 1 million umbrals in your inventory to prepare for the next GS increase.

They are letting us know now that PVP will never be a viable way to get there,
and that anybody that doesn’t spam M10’s for the next year solid will be left behind
when the time to increase GS comes.

Would love to see an official statement where this was said

Look no further, I just said it, officially!

No idea. I ignored mutations until group finder got added.

wasn’t here for it but i have no intention of spamming mutations. outside of the first couple of expeditions at launch i haven’t set foot in one since and i have no desire to do so.

i reckon if they do add raids, they’ll frontload it into those instead in an effort to get participation out of it. but i’ve no intention of doing those either.

I agree, testing new gear or a new build requires a lot of shards now.

I logged in yesterday, found an M1 Ennead group looking for a healer,
threw on my 620+ gear, healed the first couple of encounters,
and logged out of the game.

Terrible change, yes.

Made me quit the game pretty much
as PvP’er I just don’t wanna do it, so I stopped playing all together

Yup…loved it how it was before.

Current system is absolute ass. I hate doing muts, but it’s the only way to get decent shards.

Spending hours just to bronze a handfull with randoms, just to upgrade 1 or 2 pieces.

HATE IT

Easily the worst change they’ve made.

The only update that has made me lose motivation to play the game.

Went to messing with fresh start, instead of legacy…just to take a break from the frustration.

I prefer pvp…screw mutations…

The system sucks, I’m not even bothering.
I’ll probably park my character until we get a level increase.
Maybe log in for a bit, AFK’ish a couple of OPR’s and chop a few trees for gypsum, plod away at crafting. Screw the rest of end game though, don’t have the motivation or find it fun.

I am exactly the same, but I like messing with my build and the upgrade being such a grind is off putting for sure.

Yes, but it isn’t as painful as the MASSIVE exp increase they made time back on trading/crafting skills. And that big D in the arse hurted more than this one so…

Also, about the next GS increase, I will quote a wise cat: this never a matter of if, only when. The concern should be what will bring to the table the next power up.

Yes, as far as I can tell, all this does is deepen the gap between new and BIS 625 players

umbral shard is a sh*t system at the first place…
ags want us to feed tht shard/gold seller, and they buff em up with all the chest in the last boss room…wht a troll…
i bet AGS know why only small percentage of players can make progress from M1 to M10. most ppl just go straight to gold/shard sller to M10. why bother to do M1 and take HOURS to find a fooking group for it and progress to lvl up mutation, if you can easily bought em to shard seller? + the chest

they just have no idea how to fix it. coz umbral shard is a sh*t system (to upgrade GS) at the first place…

Noone is spending thousand dollars to buy m10’s
Yea some might buy maybe 2-3rounds to speed up wardgear initially.
But I highly doubt people waste 400-500eur just to be able to have some fun in PvP.

Most people buying runs are just too frustrated with the system overall and do it as a 2-3time thing max due to the insane cost. Now due to the shardchange people likely buy way way less

But yea. I highly doubt people enjoy lower muts with mediocre gear for a frekin 2-3k shards still lol
As PvP’er I don’t even see the difference between getting the 20 or 2000shards. It’s all nothing in the grand theme.
Almost 100k for a single gearset.
If you like to switch it up you’re likely at like 400-500k shards needed.
Hf making 3ward gears to max and then run 25 mutas a week for awhile.
Like after 3 I don’t even want to login anymore into the game.

What I wanna do tho is pvp. I can pvp for 8h straight. I’ve no issue with that. But this gives me nothing in return, and people saying “oh I got so many shards through it”.
Yea. Definitely xddddddddddddddddddddddd
You need around 3 months of daily nolifing in pvp to get a single gearset to max rn.

Just cause you played 3k hours doesn’t mean mmo’s have to force you to nolife for basic content.

In theory the shard changes were actually good.

But in reality alot of pvpers don’t enjoy doing mutations.

And none of the methods of PvP give out noticeable umbral shard.

Max you can get is 1800 from 2 arenas and 2 OPR.

Every subsequent opr after this only gives the 50 or 100 which is nothing.

I would propose something like 10 percent of your opr score is the amount of umbrals you receive per game.

This isn’t enough for the pve players to moan about pvpers getting given shards. But it would be a noticeable increase for pvpers.

A good game in opr is like 6k score. This would give 600 shards for a 30min average game time.

Max I have seen someone get in opr is 16k in a 40 minute game, at 10 percent, this is still way less than any M10 run.

And while we are mentioning opr score, reduce points for dmg and kills and increase points for contesting the zone. Thankyou
