Couldn’t say, if it doesn’t work then it’s disingenuous but there is no pvp/pve balancing other than ‘pvp perks’
Im pretty sure weaken has 50% cap.

I can confirm that it works, got a decent spear with it and it helps tremendously.
Especially on Isabella our Healer loves it because surviving her flight attack, even if getting hit 2 times back to back on M10 xD

Rends, bleeds, weakens.
It’s right now the most perfect weapon. Doesn’t matter if it’s Lazarus, constant rend+weaken makes it a very desireable piece to have on any party.
We did the math a few times just to be sure we weren’t griefing ourselves, a spear was better applying rends and weakens than a WH delivering raw damage, plus it has shorter cooldowns and all the cool stuff.
If NW ever introduces Spear/Shield, man, I can get only so erect

i agree, the spear its the absolute BIS PVE DPS weapon and works for literally any dungeon (as team always needs rends and spear is rend king), I almost always use it as secondary on all dungeons, when i go DPS.
I thought about running spear as my secondary tank weapon with this perk and fortifying perforate on an armor piece.
Anyone try that? I think Vault Kick is carnelian gem compatible.
Yep VK taunt with carnelian it’s in one of his skills. Not sure how spear does as secondary since you losing a lot of AOE control from dropping WH. If your DPS are aware and don’t pull everything else on them might be good but I wouldn’t recommand with a pug

I’ve always wondered since throwing hatchet can refresh its debuffs it applies just with the basic throws, can you upkeep maximum rend on a boss along with weaken/slow indefinitely? Or does it eventually just fall off the boss

I bought a new spear this week with keen, vicious and enfeebiling skewer JUST for the corruption muts.
Spear is so OP its not even funny. How can you give one weapon a toolkit like that.
I agree spear is probably the best offensive weapon right now. In a pve group it is a must and in PvP it is awesome in small scale combat.
