Does GRIT a BUFF?

Is it a buff, like a berserk or any other passive from skills? And why it is not a buff?

Grit is not a buff, it just means that during a few frames of your attack, you can’t be interrupted or knocked down.

A buff/debuff has a duration, grit does not. The reason for this is that most melee abilities are quite slow and obvious that they are being used which means stunning/interrupting them would be incredibly easy. With the use of grit, you have to pay attention and interrupt when the melee attack does not have grit. Range can also get grit too, it’s just not particularly useful or needed.

time duration is bad example. Empower from oblivion do not have timer aswell. And it ends with oblivion, like a grit ends with attack

Grit on basic attacks is the dumbest smooth brained thing ive ever seen in a game. Ill tell you that much

i totally agree. Just testing purefing crits, and noticed, that sometimes i knock gritted bruisers with javeling…

If you are it’s either a bug or you’re actually hitting them as the grit ends.

(I also have a purifying crits spear)

if it a bug, it is better bug, than berserk exploit or penetrate arrow exploit anyway)))

Knocking down through grit? Nah thatd be just as bad as other bugs.

purify grit and knock.
Anyway, even if it a bug, it rare, coz only last baff is purified, some passives add grit + fortify, so fortify will be cleansed … coz it is last added

No, it’s an animation marker.

do not really get it. But even obilivion when cleaning berserk. target still have animation for a while, but not a buff

It’s a marker in the animation. If you meet the conditions for it, the marker is active, making you immune to stagger and knockdowns.

It would be alright if there was an equally smooth brained absolute braindead perk/ability/buff to counter it for people that cant use grit, but there isnt.
