I’m sitting at all pieces of luck except for weapons right now, including full void bent and 3 trophies.
A comfy 29.6% without the trophies.
My friends with 4-5 2.4-5% shitty luck pieces and no trophies got named items, way more seeds than me. Epics here and there, I got 6 non-named epics in the lower 580’s. Some bosses didn’t even guarantee a watermark upgrade for me. From 3 runs I got one named earring, the LEAST amount of quality loot with the HIGHEST amount of luck in my group.
Something is not quite right with luck right now, i’m not sure if me tanking had anything to do with it but it definitely did not feel good doing all that hard work for keys for literally zero reward.

“A party counts as one entity. Each entity, solo or grouped, needs to do X amount of the TOTAL dmg to the boss to gain credit/a chance at the loot. A solo player coming in at the end of a fight for the last couple of hits is not eligible for the loot. They didnt participate enough.”
I don’t want to read that entire forum to see if that rule is still relevant, if it is, it needs to be fixed. You said you kept getting shit drops though instead of no drops. If you kept getting just as much drops as your friends, then yah you’re just unlucky it seems. If you got no drops, this may be because you were tanking and didn’t managed to do the requirement of damage.
So, luck works in a few ways from my experience. Since I mine, ill go with mining as an example.
The higher your luck the greater the chance to get legendary drops from the associated nodes
Luck determines which loot tables that you roll from and allows you to get higher amounts of the drops on that table.
It seems that luck works on a rolling schedule. What I mean by that is this, the longer you are mining for instance, each node increases your chance to get a legendary drop on a Tier 5 node. I find that the longer in a day that I spend gathering the associated node, the larger and more frequent my drops get up until a point. Once I hit that threshold, it seems to reset back to a low drop chance.
All and all, if you want to get legendary drops from T5 nodes, you need to grind out time to get them. Gold wise, it is worth spending the time doing so since the legendary mats sell for quite alot.

I have a bad feeling it might be related to the whole tanking thing, which would be absurd.
Thinking back, my loot luck always seemed better when doing expeditions as a dps.
