I am seeing fair amount of spears with backstab bonus damage on them, but I cannot seem to find whether the downward stab, after sweeping the target, counts as backstab …?
That downward stab is already heavy attack so it procs some perks but I was wondering about back stab perk in particular.

No, it’s not backstab damage, it’s knockdown damage, you have a perk on the skill tree for extra damage.
If you lockdown someone from behind and hit them again while they’re knocked down(you’re still behind them) then it’s still counts as a backstab right?
no doesn’t register as both should but doesn’t iv tested it.
No, it’s just knockdown damage. You are not hitting them on the back as they lay flat on their backs, even when you did the sweep from behind.
