Does tallow drop from skinning animals?

I havent gotten one or seen anyone get any type of tallow from skinning. My guess is that it only drops from jewelcrafting aptitude crates right now, but surely this isnt intended. Has anyone received tallow from skinning or any other source?

I haven’t got it either and been trying quite hard to get it. New world database says it drops from a different animals but I have farmed them a bunch and got nothing so far. Haven’t seen it on the trading post at all either. If anyone has found them let us know where to get them!

I can confirm that tallow can drop off lynx’s lvl 54. I had my full skinning set on and ate skinning food.

What area is this? And are they just called Lynx or?

It used to drop off high level deer (level 50+ or so) back in Alpha

As for area, I’m sure using one of the map sites you could narrow it down… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
