Dont make crafting too easy!

Honestly I think they just need to increase mat harvest rates and increase the cooldowns and crafting wouldn’t be to bad

Thanks god they make it easier to craft “BiS” items.

I really couldnt care less what PvP player want. You can have everything since the territory system is freakin bad. 3 million coins a week. xD

Please make PvP “BiS” items obtainable via Faction store.

Exactly. Im still playing because im getting better gear for my build. I probably would only be getting on to do dailies and an opr or 2 every day but instead im on for like 4 hours or more each day. If they made it so easy to get bis items that its not a challenge at all then i would have nothing to do. I think the game currently has a nice balance of bis gear being challenging to get while also being accessible to the average player. I hope the golden scarab is made almost as rare as trophy mats, in that way it wouldnt be completely irrelevant as people would randomly be dropping it all over the place without making crafting too easy.

Make it easy! There is no reason for craft to have this nonsense RNG that it currently has.

PS.: This is the opinion of someone who has the whole triperk bis set, that is, someone who invested time and gold to get the equipment they have and even so, I find the current craft meaningless. By the way, I’m also a crafter.

Interesting, you consider 300k very little gold
The highest number my character had was 30k, and if I’d never spent any gold, that number would still be less than 60k.

Honestly the biggest part about crafting is the time to gain the mats unless your in a big company that owns the two big city’s your kinda screwed. I feel like just increasing the amount of resources gained from harvesting and changing the cool down to 25 or 35 a day would help crafting bis a lot faster and still leave it at a fair grind. If you remove the rng element from the crafting then they would need to make the mats required even more tedious then it already is to keep it a grind. I don’t think you should be able to roll whatever perks you won’t without some time investment into it. By no means do I know how exactly they can make crafting simpler but increasing the amount of resources obtain I feel like could help make crafting easier. I’m sure there are other things that could be added to also help this out but crafting can’t just be a here you go little time invested for a greater reward.

Make crafting easier and/or involve less RNG and throwing away stuff you make. But make it BOUND.
Crafting good gear should be your reward for levelling your crafts.
It should not be a way for others to just buy RMT money and shop for BIS in the Trading Post.

I understand your point > But the thing is they’re not taking the RNG out entirely, you’ll still have to have the luck to come 600 gs and the third perk you want.

Which would give ± 1 “bis” every 20 attempts (if you don’t fix the resilient), which honestly, is reasonable.

Not to mention that it depends on crafting with the new material, which can be just the way to balance this, maybe just one material per day.

this guy is losing his mind.
do we want bis item only limited to those RMT and WW/EF owners?
the fact that 1m item went down to 200-300 k is good, so that more ppl could afford it and get the gear to play the game and play with many builds.
it will leads to more build diversity and more skill based fight instead of 3perk bis vs 2 perk purple owning fight.

I have been casually helping new players that joined these past few weeks with leveling, expeditions and tips.
The one big question everyone had was how will they be able to compete with others in PVP when all good gear pieces cost so much and they can make only 10 to 15k gold per day.

I know ways how a player can make 10k even hourly if lucky but that is not the point, the point is that new players cannot make gold.
There are a lot of reasons for that, high populated servers, too many bots, not enough farming spots etc.

To buy a BIS piece of gear you need 400k minimum depending on the perks and for what role its gonna be good for.

Everything that motivates new or returning players should be welcomed.
Only crafters who spent crazy amounts of gold to craft stuff they want to sell for millions would suffer here, so I guess its about 2% of the entire New World population.

i’d own u in purples ^^ im not even in a comb and have 700k. It´s ok rn but if it gets even easier it will crash the market. But im tired of explaining that over and over. If it will go live you’ll see. +

please be a crafter trying to sell stuff for 1 day and u will se that it doesnt make u millions. Quite the opposite is true xD

  • they dont need bis gear to be competitive -.- im playing with purples and i slap 95% of the players around. Skill is 10 times more important than gear

Crafting still ain’t easy…even if we choose two perks…it still has the chance of being all purple.

I’m highly suspicious that crafting got shadow nerfed around the time azoth was disabled because it feels a little “meh” again.

None of those are close to BiS. You just outed yourself as extremely clueless and obviously not a PvP player.

Not a good look bro.

Keen is a dead perk on GA. Thwarting Strikes is a worthless perk on hammer. And slash protection is BiS on war ammys. Divine is useless and stamina not even necessary for bruisers.

You’re so lost, it’s hilarious. Quit crying about BiS gear being too easy to get when you don’t even know what BiS is.

^ what this guy said. Every single point you made proved that you’re clueless on the topic.

Yes. Let’s make sure to keep other players down while the “elite” break the coin cap 10 times over!! Sounds like a wonderful plan. These are the same players who camp nodes and farm low-level areas for hours daily. So if you have gainful employment, a family, a desire to keep up personal hygiene, use a toilet, etc. you should be damned to wear that starter outfit from the beach until the “elite” allow you a shot at their leftovers AND they’ll charge 1,000,000 coin for these “trickle downs”. Good luck getting the money to buy them trickle downs when you can’t even hit an ori node unless you get up at 4am. Start choppin’ them trees now! The elite need the timber and they’re willing to pay .20 coin each. Good times!

Get a life.

Twinks are for Everquest. Be honest now. Were you one of those jerks selling things in the tunnel for 4000 plat??

Currently, you’re honestly understating the cost of BiS Bruiser gear. It’s way more than 1m, for sure. But there seems to be a little confusion on the difference between BiS and what I like to call Bargain BiSment items.

GA: Frost Attunement, Thwarting Strikes, Refreshing Move. 4m+
WH: Sundering Shockwave, Keenly Empowered, Thwarting Strikes: 1m-1.5m
Amulet: Health, Slash Protection, Stamina Recovery: 500k- can substitute in Flame Protection for about 200k instead, but you lose 2% Fire Resist using Moonstone instead of Ruby, so not true BiS
Ring: Invigorated Punishment, Keen Awareness, CDR/Leeching/maybe Enfeebling. 350k. Assuming Medium Bruiser- if Heavy or Light, Hearty is BiS 3rd perk, and use Champion’s Ring for free
Earring: Refreshing Toast, Healthy Toast, Refreshing/Regenerating- 50k
Armor: 5x Resil, 4xShirking, Maelstrom, Grav Well, PoD, then either Whirlwind + 2 Freedom or no Whirlwind and 3 Freedom. Heavy can swap out Freedom for Refreshing Ward.
Resil, Shirking + Grav Well on any item is 1m+. Heavy chest is closer to 2m. Swap Freedom for Shirking and you’re around 800k.
Resil + Shirking + any of the other weapon perks are ~800k.
Resil + Shirking + Freedom is 500k-850k, depending on the piece.

Swapping Freedom for Refreshing Ward on heavy doesn’t change the prices much, since meta is moving that direction since they buffed Ref Ward.

So for all 4 armor pieces, let’s be conservative and say 4m total.

A true BiS setup then would cost about 10m on the low end right now. For one build. Sure, you could use some of those pieces for a second build (medium to heavy could keep the same weapons and amulet. Would probably want Refreshing Ward on Ring and Earring.

For Bruisers, any GA that has keen is not BiS. Any WH that doesn’t have Keenly Empowered and Thwarting Strikes is not BiS. Any piece of armor that has Refreshing or Refreshing Evasion is not BiS. Any amulet that has Divine is not BiS. If you want to get really technical, any Amulet and Earring that can’t have gems swapped out isn’t BiS.

I say all this as someone who has no BiS gear for my main Bruiser build, but is set with 2 perk items. My GA has Keen. My amulet has Flame Protection. My earring might be BiS, depending how you feel about Healthy Toast and Regenerating.

BiS gear could stand to be more attainable for those who really want it. The Scarab isn’t going to make things all of the sudden cheap as hell. There is still a limit on the availability of Shirking Fortification craft mods. Same with Insatiable Gravity Well. If I was trying to use a Golden Scarab to craft a Orichalcum Heavy Breastplate with Resilient, Shirking Fortification and Insatiable Gravity Well, here’s what it would cost:

20 asmo: 6k
8 Runic Leather: 1.6k
7 Phoenixweave: 1.4k
10 Iron Battle Medal: 500g
1 Timeless Shard: 50g
1 Squirming Vines: 15k
1 Reinforced Ori GA Charm: 8k
Golden Scarab: Cost currently unknown.

So total cost is 32.55k + Golden Scarab. With 1/6 odds for legendary, and hoping for Resilient as my third perk, the odds of hitting my trifecta is about 1/29. So total estimate cost is 943,950g before the cost of the Scarab. If the Scarab costs 10k each, now we’re over 1.2m. If it’s 50k each, now we’re at almost 2.3m.

Is that better than what the odds are currently? Yeah. Is it going to drop prices down to a point where people stop crafting? No. Will BiS gear ever be affordable to casual players? Highly unlikely. But anything that brings the prices down to a more reasonable level is a good thing.

Battle royals happened which gave basically Instant access to best gear in game, and now they expect the same in all games including mmorpgs. The mentality is killing the genre…
