this really says it all. you got yours, and you want everyone else to gawp at your like those players in WoW you fawned over.
Simple fact is that this is a PvP driven game and the artificial advantage derived from significant gear disparity(it’s very noticeable in competitive PvP) is a barrier to real competition. If you like to be ‘better’ because you grind more then… play WoW.

man just stfu xD u literally get decent gear for free. As i said many time already i slap 95% of the players around in purples. And the other 5% arent a problem because of the gear but because of their skill.
How much advantage do u think you would have with BIS gear? People act like it would double the dmg and armor. thats not the case. We´re talking about the last few %. When u understand the different classes and know when to use what and know how to dodge u are better then most of the players. You think you could stick a pve bot into bis gear and he would run through opr killing left and right. Thats just not the case. Imo the progression aspect is important and u think everybody should be entitled Thwarting + Ref Move + Frost attunement xD
just compare it to wow: Only a handfull of players on each servers had the glaives or dragonwrath or thunderfury etc. It was the most elite thing you could have and everybody thought it was so cool to see someone with it. You literally had to be a top tier player and have a whole guild in ur back supporting you to even have a chance to get it.
Now people just want to have the same gear as the next guy who spends 10 times the time in the game. You think thats good . I think it destorys the progression.
I think it was too hard before but where the crafting is right now should be ok! I think the scarab has the potential to kill the market. The crafting just changed and prices are falling everyday. Lets wait for the market to stabilize a bit before we make it even easier

Crafting in this game is a joke, even if every player was a Grand Master Crafter that does not mean they will craft the best gear, you not going to role 1 or even 20 items and get a BIS role, I have been a Grand Master 3 months in to this game from Launch, the reason them BIS cost so much is because it take allot of Mats to role for 1 BIS drop.
I could care less if they speed it up, I stopped rolling gear, It is easier to farm Expo’s than to role any good gear.

it´s an mmo not a moba. Mmo has gear progression - moba doesnt. Get over it.
This isn’t a competitive pvp game. It’s a mmorpg with some pvp elements. Not sure why you compare a mmorpg with strictly pvp games.

Same place as the professional competitive dodgeball scene in the real world I guess… you don’t need a games publisher sponsoring events to make a game competitive.
Is there character progression in dodgeball? You are only kidding yourself if you think nw is competitive like BRs or mobas or rts games. The game genre that requires long term character progression is not that. Quit trying to make it that way by giving everyone the same gear. Go play one of those game genre if that is what you want. But nw isn’t going to hand out participation ribbons for you…

Can we all agree that it isn’t skill based and be okay with that and move on? I just play to have fun. Not prove to the world I am some gaming god. Cause I honestly don’t care about that.
