Don't Nerf The Bow

Bow should be dealing damage slightly above the FS / Musket range, currently it’s significantly above that

Charge has 10m range and roots me at the end. Reap has 8m. Bow range is how far?

also got outplayed often enough from a Spear.

I want the chance to counterplay nothing more nothing less. My gapclosers? Charge and Reap is combined 18m. Claw Shot is 14m which netted a whole 32m which is 1/3 of the effective range of a Bow. So the i win button called equip Bow? j/K I dont know why youre so upset lol

are 100m not enough? 100m of dishing out giga damage. It seems all the ranged players want that a headshot kills the target instantly. You have so much mobility paired with damage. See what i did there?

I dont know where that hate towards me is coming from since i never said a single thing that you hold against me but i dont want Bow to die. I just dont like it that i in full heavy have no chance to even move towards or away from a bow. Or that you have to gear towards Physical Aversion and gems against them + use the right weapon. Smaller the Hitbox so that good players are still strong but the bad players arent.

CC has gotten weaker making keeping someone in melee range harder as well as light armor easily creating enough distance at the press of a button not to mentioned it combined with rapier.

sure but you need quite a few then what you gonna use to keep them there or do damage auto aren’t gonna cut it. Also light is the only armor type that makes you faster by dodging while running making catching up them a challenge even with gap close.

i only have so many dodges and if I’m zig zagging(which I due anyways) it makes me slower meaning I’m not getting closer while relying on how shit the other player is.

once agian bs and you know it unless mean standing there and allowing them to swing on you.

Why people in heavy armor are even trying to chase light dex players?

Ignore them, sit on point in a sacred ground and enjoy fighting other melees - that’s your role.

Heavy should be strong in melee fights, so that light equip load simply can’t trade with a heavy guy.

If you want to be able to kill light dexxers - play a light armor assassin build and prioritize gap closing abilities instead of AOE (reap vs maelstrom).

BOW NEED HITBOX/FIRE RATE TWEAKS, SOMETHING IN BETWEEN PRE AND POST BUFF. DO NOT NERF PEN SHOT, IT WAS LIKE THAT FOR AGES AND BOW ITSELF HAS NO OTHER UTILITY

AGS logic is weird to me:

Bow is bad, we need to buff it, OK!

  • buff hit box
  • buff fire rate
    Damn, now it’s too strong?
    Ok, we overturned it. We need to make it less strong.
  • nerf penetration and poison shot

People are all about fair pvp and no all of a sudden its “well you play the wrong type of armor” no everything should kinda be able atleast defend themselfes.

NERF THE BOW, everyone here that doesnt want the nerf is just a bow player that want their weapon to stay broken op .

If a HA player is able to stand still and ignore LA bow shooting at him in 1v1 u think is balanced?

Add healing circles on top of that, add maelstroms eating projectiles, iframes eating pen shots, oblivion with crazy stamina regen which means more iframes, crazy fortify and don’t forget gemstone/oakflesh.

Heavy user > > > bow user in OPR/wars as there you need to cap points.
Bow is 3rd worst weapon in arenas.

They said bow is super good in OPR? In terms of stat padding - yes. Does it have 90% win rate? No.

I know it’s frustrating when a HA user can’t do anything again a LA bow in an open field. Not
possible to run away and not possible to close gap and fight.

Balancing is hard, maybe then need to add some sort of haste ability to HA to give it more mobility in open field. For example free haste potion/free cleanse potion aka 4th ability they can activate with adequate CD.

Just make HA actually Tanky without having to have a Pockethealer

  • Nullifying Oblivion: now recharges Oblivion 5…9.8…14% faster. (No longer removes limited duration buffs from enemies).
    thats a buff, it removes buff and got CD reduction in next patch

this is what you need to say to you my bowboy, you are getting nerfed, and you deserve that nerf, and it will not be the last one, the aiming tgt will be reduced too so only bow users with aim and skill will remain, you should be happy

No idea what tgt means, but honestly if it is hitbox i’m quite happy since i suggested it multiple times. Then again i’m looking foward for this, so we can move on to balancing other weapons as well.

Such as lifestaff.

I am a bow player. I stopped playing bow 2 weeks after the buff, because it is broken OP. No fun.
But I don*t want the changes they are making now. I want the hitbox buff reverted.

ags is ridiculous. Instead of nerfing things like the arrow hitbox they instead nerf the max skill ceiling. Using a stagger properly required skill.

Now they nerfed the bow gj, but you also reduced the maximum brain cells needed to play it at its maximum potential, you need to know when to use it properly. ( time it for sword and shield jumps, or time it for healers about to heal animation, or time it for firemages starting the burn out skill ). Nerfing the poison dmg is understandable, even, nerfing the poison duration or poison area radius is understandable.

But removing a mechanic that requires skill? They clearly do not play their game. Just another shitty decision, they are slowly turning the game into childish IQ skills needed game.

But hey im gonna have another easy to hit explosive arrow skill LOL, everyone will, im no longer gonna be able to have an advantage over other people who do not use penetrating arrow effectively because it requires some braincells, not a lot, but some.

I never got the reason behind penshot stagger nerfs. Maybe i missed it.

Ive said it before somewhere in this thread but because its lost in this mess ill say it again.

Even if i get hit with penshot, never have i thought “damn nerf this”
im more concerned with the damage i took than the stagger.

Considering it has always been there, it’s logical to assume its only been brought to everyone attention because of bows general overuse.

Addressing that first could fix the frequency at which you experience the pen shot.
And it might not even be an issue after.
