Don't Open 15 threads without knowing the real Changes

Guys wait until PTR will be open and you will see the real changes.
Maybe will be easier not harder, maybe finally you can compete as a casual player with a job and less time to spent on the game.
Really i see a game with weekly and monthly updates and that’s a good thing.
I’m waiting for server merge in order to play but…this sound’s good!

Good job AGS

This is going to make it harder for casual players not to mention harder for new players

Let’s see tomorrow.
On my server i didn’t had the chance to grind any end game expeditions or something else due to low Population so my HWM is low now = 0
But let’s see when the PTR will go live

How?

If a new weapon comes out, why should you be able to produce it after an hour? You will now be able to do various activities on your own to get gs. I am curious how much GS does this bullet give. If it gives 5-10 points every day it will be very fast.

Just trolling…they did same thing with 1.1 update.
They sad something but did more so they will do that now aswell.
So probably they will implement a lot more then we will see in PTR

This is great news to be honest, now people will actually have to play the game a bit more instead of complaining about no end game content.

I’m fairly sure an hour is hyperbole. Not to mention, if it’s easy to grind the system is pointless and if it’s hard to grind it punishes, as we’re all insinuating, newer and lower-level players almost exclusively.

It’s also further insulation to the maxed characters. They keep implementing changes making it harder for people to get where others already got. It’s not exactly a very clever-looking ploy from our position.

At best, this will elucidate HWM for some. At worst, this is a third avenue of grinding regardless of path choice, and it harms the flexibility of the weapon system as you now need your weapon level and expertise up, encouraging A) meta-droning because you gotta grind up that weapon twofold, and B) zerging anyway because it’s more grind-- get the wep level, get the exp level, and find or craft the item worth using in the first place.

Meanwhile they just announced it-- people with their mind on the money will grind hard now to bypass the additional grind later… unless the grind is something everyone will have to do.

All I can say is, if that’s the case? I’ll bring the popcorn, can someone spot the lawn chairs?

But they don’t. People who know there’s no endgame are already there; this change just makes it harder for others to get there.

They also announced it early, meaning people are gonna work now to circumvent it early so when it rolls out they’ll already have bypassed that grind. Meanwhile, new players get to look forward to that, too, on top of slower crafting and leveling up.

At this point, the walking is quickly becoming literally the only thing they haven’t directly slowed down.

But with the new system in place they will need to gave us more end game content.
So are endless possibilities to get out from this system:
-new weapons
-armors
-maybe pets to help you out to grind easier

before 1.1 you could solo or small group many chests/bosses to increase your hwm, or you could craft or buy gear.

tomorrow, you will be in a similar situation with generally worse growth potential, that is time gated

None of this wasn’t possible. Part of the problem is that they’re making more grinding the answer-- and their grind has already been picked apart.

Making additional gates for people to get at their rewards for things like questing and crafting feels far more punitive than explorative.

True…but in the same time i’m hoping to get more than they are saying now.
Usually they have more teams that are doing more things in the same time.

So with a bit of salt,i hope to get more with the next update.

Right now i can’t play the game because on my sv we have maximum 50 players online through the night but maybe will change with this update or maybe a merge soon.

Don’t give them any ideas, because I can absolutely imagine this patch note:

“We realized that players were tired of the grind and wanted a more realistic feel to the game! Now, instead of moving slowly and being encumbered when you go above your max weight limit, you will become proportionally encumbered based on your weight! Someone carrying tons of ore shouldn’t run as fast as a player with empty bags right? With these changes, every 10% of weight you carry slows down your speed by an equal percentage, maxing out at a 90% slow at 90% capacity. We believe this will improve the feedback and endgame content loop for all players!”

Heh, it is sarcasm people, also a good clue is their name “NoMercys”, heh.

All the other threads have it covered, though should pound this one. It is just that foolish of an idea.

Latest change: road work being done. Road speed disabled; many pathways will be blocked resulting in detours.

Please do the needful.

I believe the heart of your equipment is the watermark and by having it at the right level you have 5 ways to get better equipment (outpost, dungeons, beating bosses, arena crafting). The developers want all these things to be connected by watermark, so to make it work well they need to connect manufacturing with watermark. So either you have to remove the whole watermark system or leave it as it is: you get gs and then you get the best items with one of these five ways. I don’t know what it currently looks like to pocket this gs so I have no idea if they are making it more difficult. But I think it is too easy to make the best items right away.
