Doors are too strong on OPR

Let me know who your dealer is, so I can get me some of that nice powder!

I dont think main problem is that how strong they are. Main problem is how fast and cheap they are to be repaired. Like 2 dudes with resorces can hold up whole enemy team smashing doors both sides and they can keep it like that for very very very long time lol. Its broken.

At least we should be able to counterplay this with 1 keg. But no…

I agree kegs are too squishy I think they should have about 400% more HP. One heavy attack kills the barrel usually lol

Here’s your problem. OPR is not just a pvp mode. It’s a domination/ capture the point mode that’s PvX. Your playing the game mode wrong. Everyone is and has been for a long time. No one ever uses strategy, they just Chase around kills. Doors are fine. You just aren’t playing the mode correctly

People want to PvP in one of the only PvP modes we have in this game. You can’t blame them

Go play arena then. That’s pure pvp death match

We have 3 PvP modes, one of which isn’t even something everyone can do and has allotted time for it. So that leaves 2 options for people to play.

Again, you can’t blame people for wanting OPR to be purely PvP. I couldn’t imagine the whining if expeditions had some sort of PvP element to it lol

It just takes one person on the wall to stop that in it’s tracks. Barrels die in like 2 hits and Wraith is super easy to range down in about 20 seconds.

If doors are causing this much of an issue for you, you’re doing it wrong. It takes like 2 seconds to bust in a Tier 1 door. Tier 3 doors are harder and take more time but they shouldn’t be busted in by one person anyway. It’s still very much doable. Yes, the other team can repair the door IF they have the resources to do so. The more you pound, the less they have to repair with. Did you harass the builders at the start or did you let them build up the fortress? U MAD bro because your team didn’t have anyone building up YOUR re-spawn point? Angry that a door is too hard for him break down omfg.

Really? Doors? LOL, so no doors are not too strong and it is the last thing devs should be wasting time on.

If you made another mode that was identical to opr with a smaller map and pve taken out opr queue would never pop again.

We need a mode where people can actually play something approaching war comps. Currently the only way to practice war builds is to war a couple times a week.

Maybe some of you are playing on servers that have not worked it out yet. On Delos at least half if not more games are decided by the door.

I am talking about repairing the doors, not the health of the door.

And yes players on Delos spend first half of game gathering then just hold the point with 2 builders and even with most of the team bashing that door you will not get through before it is over.

If you made an identical game to new world by with actual content no one would play new world! You see how stupid that sounds? Why would they make an identical mode to OPR?? OPR and wars are NOTHING alike. You’re better off taking a fort in open world pvp to get closer to war than OPR. The fact that you compare wars to OPRs shows you don’t understand the game mode at all. Just like virtually everyone else here.

What if, sol had its doors removed.

Players used ruinous (+40% siege damage)

Players farmed a brute and pushed alternative doors.

Start hunting those players instead of mindlessly zerging around the map, in a blob, shooting arrows at 50+meters. You can prevent such a snowball from happening if you kill the farmers before they succeed.

It’s like in a moba, you must counter the jungle player, while not get ganked feeding free kills

If the enemy has captured the base close to your respawn, is repairing, go to another location.

I think this PvE strategy is a good. If the other team doesn’t ever spread apart, they’re punished for acting as 1 unit playing follow the leader, instead of 20 people doing many tasks working together.

There’s many paths to take but some players only press LMB

Well yeah, you’re right. Maybe this perk is created about pvp doors. But some people don’t think about it on a ranged secondary weapon.

For all the posts ref PVE players in PVP, that’s what keeps the mode going. Running a session with OP LA company teams (this should be less of an issue now) just makes OPR pointless and certainly there is no fun.

A lot of hardcore PvP’ers dont actually want to fight, they just want to run round killing.

And If doors are an issue, dont let the other side build and upgrade them. NW pvp players would just sink in GW2 WvW. :stuck_out_tongue:

Can you imagine the outcry and foot stamping if AGS introduce siege mechanics, hahaha.

Exactly, how much times when I wanted to build a real fortress I got ganked super early and it was a kind of goal for them to unallow me to gather anything, painful at fist sight but great strategy from enemy  .

As a noob healer with 550 gear, I feel like I contribute in opr thanks to the pve elements.

I either hang on the backlines and heal or make bird nests.

If Im with team mates trying to take a fort and showing they are tanky, Ill follow them in. But if players are playing rogue, Ill drop back and consolidate a fort.

I like that I can contribute because when Im caught, Im very weak and quickly hacked to pieces by a bunch of savages trying to hit the kill shot.

I think the map mode is great and the doors seem ok. T3 doors are meant to be tough. Id like an option to spawn a commander inside as well.
