You’re not in the affected group of people and have no right to criticize us or comment on the downtime affecting us.
People whining here this must be your first online game you have played. Have you ever suffered a complete reset of a game where you lost every thing you did for a week or more? It happens all the time especially with new and recent releases. A bug or exploit comes up and bam you lose EVERYTHING you have done for the last few or several days.
Please let me know, what is my point of view?
Instead of cancelling wars how about just reenable the fucking trading?
I literally couldn’t give one drop of a shit puddle about duping. I care about not being able to fucking trade.

We spent hours and hours pushing Windsward into conflict and now we’re going to lose all that effort.

Why is everyone assuming that all of the influence is going to be lost? Isn’t it possible that once the servers are back up the company can declare war scheduled for tomorrow with the refunded money?

Your point of view is that people shouldn’t complain about being screwed out of hours and hours of effort apparently.
We have every right to be angry and to complain here, and yet you have the audacity to come here and criticize us, when you’re not in the same boat.

Because wars are being cancelled and refunded. Implicit in that system is influence being lost.

I have been in the same boat, but I forgot, you can’t read. You can come on here and discuss your frustrations in a more professional manner (like an adult). I can’t believe the Community Managers don’t stick to such guidelines of behavior as in the game. These forum post have gotten so toxic that further action or moderation is desperately needed.

I do prefer having trading post back online tho, it’s suck that exploitation cause collateral damage but it’s happens and coming on forums saying how “dumb” they are for enabling a core function of the game 100% of people use that cause massive issue to territory, upkeep, tax is way more important than a war that can happen tomorrow instead.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t complain. I would complain too if my time was wasted pushing influence for it to be lost. However, an implicit assumption that the influence will be lost is jumping the gun. Let’s reserve our judgement until after the server reset. Functionally it could be a “rescheduling” of the war to tomorrow if the influence is preserved, the money is refunded, and the declaring company can simply declare again after the servers are back up.
I’m relieved that the trading post is coming back up, and a rescheduling of today’s wars to accomplish that is worth the downtime in my opinion.

So how about wars that are scheduled to start right as the downtime ends? Our downtime starts at 5pm and the war is at 8pm. Yes, that’s technically starting after the downtime, but there won’t be any time to send out invites and get people in to prepare. Will those wars be included in this?
unless they do a rolling release based on the timezone servers are in, these things will always be in primetime for someone. Last patch EU was pissed due to this same reason. now its the turn for the US. but in honesty, id much rather see a timezone specific patch schedule for all, as it would def be less affecting of players everywhere.
Don’t need to call them names, the CMs are just the bringing of bad news. Blame management.
