I know, maybe it’s crazy to complain about drop rates, but my inventory is constantly awash in music sheets that I’ve already learned. Even on a fresh start server, they quickly become worthless, so it becomes a constant chore to sort through them to see if there are any valuable ones, or just to even drop them.
It feels to me like once you have learned a sheet, the drop rate could be reduced for yourself. I know it’s cool that we can get the sheets and sell them, but it’s not even worth the hassle of all of us being bombarded with them as we are now. I’d even advocate for them not to drop at all once we learn then, if that would free me from the mess of it.
I suggested AGS add salvage option to sheets, recipes and schematics to salvage into fibbers of corresponding tier along with an option to identify the one you already know by just glancing on it instead of hovering.
The whole recipe system is total rubbish and honestly needs to be scrapped. Recipes are only relevant for the 1st month when the item is introduced. If they were actually rare or limited in number, it would make more sense as players who learn could then become known for being the only ones who can craft those things.
Perhaps they could make it have an aptitude upgrade where learning more of the same recipe would let you level up the item’s craft so that you can create a fixed additional number of the item based on aptitude. Music could increase buff time or whatever.
There’s a whole game loop that can be build around recipes/schematics/music sheets so I treat it like a stub more than ripe game feature. I’m trying to collect all furnishing schematics on FS character and so far managed to get only half. They added a lot of cool and hard to get schematics and I hope it’ll continue. At the same time trading schematics is dead apart of a few obvious chests. For once people don’t know how rare a schematic is, so pricing is a problem, and a limited number of sale offers with an illiquid market makes it even more difficult.
I like both of the ideas, either furnishing/cooking/music XP or salvaging into research scraps and random roll on corresponding tier recipe. That would require some tier visibility on each schematic/sheet/recipe. At the same time they need to still keep some things extremely hard to get. Like golden steel storage chest since it’s a goal a lot of people are chasing after. At the same time we could use more functional furniture hard to get schematics to keep furnishing goals alive.
Drop rate of sheets, legendary craft items and some schematic is way too high, too much easy and no value on the market. Players should create sheet with paper and instruments: crafting paper and let players to sell on the market all creations.
Pfft. I just wish other people could see your “bag drops”. I usually leave a line of garbage leading from Mines to Myrk on a daily basis due to all those sheets of music / etc
Those are shift clicks I shouldnt have to be doing every time i open my inventory, friend. Its the annoyance, not the length of time it takes to get rid of.
