"Due to an event, this region is temporarily blocked" - BUG, Cannot travel through a zone. Does not fix after relog / restart

  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Asgard but has happened on other servers I have played on before.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Every time you try to run across the zone, it will display the message on screen “Due to an event, this region is temporarily blocked” and your character runs into an invisible wall that spans the entire zone, so you are unable to run any further. This does not get fixed if you exit to menu or restart the entire game, you still get the same issue.

  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug

  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Hugely, you cannot travel across a zone if this bug happens.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No, it normally takes a few hours and it randomly fixes itself.

  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I have no idea, sometimes it just randomly comes up while your running across a zone questing etc for no reason at all, maybe something to do with corrupted breaches spawning out in the world? It is obviously something to do with the game thinking some kind of event is taking place and stopping you from entering that area.

This is due to wars…and poorly thought out game mechanics. The only thing you can do is to run along the border to get around it or hit a shrine site and port to the other side until it is over, it is what I do. This has been an issue since the game was released.

Very bad game design. I’m a newbie and I can’t get to the quest turn in due to this.
This should be limited to those who are flagged as PvP and taking part in an invasion / war.
It’s not on that everyone else has to basically sit and wait for it to be over.

That would cause its own set of problems.

Just needs to create an instance based on the location instead. That way it wont get interference from the real world, and the war can be fought in peace.

It is not an issue. It is a feature! You cannot just pass through a warzone when a war has broken out. You stay where you are or, like you said, go around it. Just like real life. I have experienced this only 1 time in 307 hours on Valhalla. At least wars do not last as long as they do in real life.
