Theres always going to be builds that can 100-0 people so long as cc and low con high dmg builds exists, so why not regulate it? make a weapon like duel daggers, dedicated to killing quickly but with a high skill cap, for instance, make the weapon do underwhelming dmg but EXTREME backstab dmg, or super high cooldowns but landing a hard to land ability quells the cooldown significantly, make it scale worse than other weapons so whoever uses it is forced to take little to no con to do any dmg.
I think assassin builds have their place to balance range, because currently assassin builds are just about the only thing taking care of them in war, but even I agree, sns stunlock is a little much. So why not add daggers that specialize in taking down a light armor user, while punishing failed abilities and poor mechianical skill severely? I think it would genuinely be a blast and bring/keep people playing this game for longer.
because as it stands, assassins need to be in the game to balance the fact that healers and dex can just freely shoot/heal anyone without any harm because they have rapier to escape everything. Having a High cooldown, super squishy, high backstab dmg low normal dmg weapon would be perfect. having abilities that can 100-0 someone IN THE RIGHT HANDS, rather than anyone slapping on an sns and being able to combo someone to death would be awesome.
